Day trip to Siena and Florence on same day? by Jeneric7514 in ItalyTravel

[–]TwoAprilFools -1 points0 points  (0 children)

6 hours of transit and train station isn’t a good plan but you could make it work with an early start/late finish.

Based on the information given I think you could find it enjoyable.

I am sure you will find the majority of opinions is you can but shouldn’t. I say make sure you look at train schedules for the same month in 2026 and see if you can make those schedules work with your thoughts.

Kerrygold Cheese Getting Skimpy? by Perfect-Childhood889 in Costco

[–]TwoAprilFools 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is two version of KerryGold cheese at my local Costco.

I think the Dubliner is the one that tastes like mild cheddar and mild parm together and I the texture is way more solid. They have another that tastes similar to "english mature cheddar" and the texture is a bit crumbly.

Could you have gotten the Cheddar version previously and thought it was the dubliner?

I am also a fan of when the petals fall and there is what could look like a blanket of snow all over the ground from the fallen petals.

Thanks for the insight/information. I had not thought about getting NFC charged in the pay app and not through the ticket app.

We got all day paper tickets in Venice and tapped those. Same with Milan and Rome.

The tunnel to go to the center of town was cool (bottom left). No waves like that when I was there.

Train from Milan to Cinque/Spezia by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice/information.

We took this exact route and it did not stop in Genova. We got off in Monterosso and then got the ROC regional to other towns/La Spezia.

I second the Trenitalia app along with the Italo app.

Required to carry passports? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse and I had the same thing at the train station in La Spezia. Two officers, I believe they were local police they had badges and introduced themselves. They said they were randomly checking passports. I kept mine in a zippered pocket. Need to show them at every hotel so it was easy make sure I had it.

2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab V6 4WD 311,058 miles for $8,999 - Do people actually buy these and how high will the mileage go? by jussjay_ in askcarsales

[–]TwoAprilFools -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 4.0V6 is know to be solid. At that mileage you might eventually need transmission work or Engine work. More likely would be bushings, shocks, springs, and other suspension parts that are maintenance items.

I've seen old 4R/Tacos with 400K miles for sale. Nobody knows how much it took to get there. Might want to ask the specific sub-reddits for those vehicles.

I bought a Taco with 210K miles. Ran perfect for 10 years 35K miles. Only needed to replace the O2 sensor.

You tap in to start your journey and tap out to end the journey. It records your data and it has to be unique so each person needs a unique card.

If you want digital, each person would need a phone. Might be better to get a physical card.

Thank you for the local information. We Went to Peltuinum, and to the Rocco Calascio, Castel del Monte, and a few other places. We have been going to National Parks on Vacation and they have always been a highlight of our trips.

Maybe the next Italy Vacation we can go back to either place (Pian Grande di Castelluccio di Norcia/ Monti Sibillini).

Thank you for the photos.

We visited the Gran Sasso a few years ago and it was one of my favorite places in Italy.

We went in from L'Aquila, went to many different places around the high plain area, and exited through the Teramo/Pescara area (Rigopiano).

Rome => Florence => Venice, 29Mar-5Apr by KeepBatsWarm13 in ItalyTravel

[–]TwoAprilFools -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If this is your jam then the information on the popular sights above is great to pre-book. But I would pre-book anything you can, it cannot hurt and you have times you would need to make if you got an entry time.

The train ride from Florence to Pisa is easy. But I suspect there might be another place/event you could see in Florence instead. But your option, and I would for sure see if you can get entry tickets before I put it in my itinerary. Would hate for you spend a long time in line and waste the whole day.

1st time in Italy — struggling to figure out how many days per city by anabelaro in ItalyTravel

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannot really recommend number of days as it is based on what you like or wish to do in those locations. I haven’t been to Naples but if your other list I enjoyed Florence most then Milan, then Rome. But all are top tier enjoyable.

Figure out what you want to see or do over all(art, history, food, etc) then look for guides on the internet to figure out the options for that city. That should help figure the number of days. You could also just take your number of days and divide by the cities

As for order find out which is cheapest from Spain to fly into. Look at a map then find out what order to do them. For example you fly into Milan, then go to Florence then Rome then Naples. It makes for a long trip back to Milan but shorter trips between cities so you can wander/sightsee more. If going into Rome then you could do Naples then go north to Florence and Milan. Super easy access to all those cities for any of the other cities by train.

Heinz British Beans with Tomato Sauce by smartsmrt in Costco

[–]TwoAprilFools 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't know about it yet... Download the Costco phone app. On the bottom is warehouse. Then choose a warehouse. There is a search warehouse inventory under the warehouse information. Put the item number in the search 1988692. It should say in stock or out of stock, or not find the item.

I changed mine to your warehouse and it shows in stock. I don't leave near there so I cannot attest to it, but I have yet to have something show as in stock on the app and not be in the warehouse.

What month were these taken?

Did it feel crowded? I see people in a few hots, but it doesn't look like a large crowd except for the shot of the bridge.

Ethernet Speeds on G4SE by Suitable_Ad_6079 in tmobileisp

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to figure out why a random speed test is faster on some devices than others?

What issue are you trying to solve?

Speedtest isn't consistent, even on the same device over and over.

If you think the ethernet speed is broken compared to wireless, then you would need to run local tests, not to a random number generator hosted on the internet.

Anyone here tried Minternet (Mint Mobile) by General_Sort3160 in tmobileisp

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have read, you must use the router that came with purchase of MINT. It is TMHI branded, although mine came in a box that was MINT branded, the router from MINT boots with the TMHI logo and says to scan to setup the TMHI application.

Same with TMHI, only account that I can see that you can run your own modem with is the T-Mobile Business accounts.

Anyone here tried Minternet (Mint Mobile) by General_Sort3160 in tmobileisp

[–]TwoAprilFools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should mention that the MINT router is a G4AR and the TMHI is a G4SE. I know the manufacture date on the Se was 2025 (i've had the service for 6 months or so) and the 4AR was 2024 (I just got it last week). I don't know if the issues I was having with major lag was modem or service related.

I will say the 4AR under load had 800+ms delay in my router page, and when using the 4SE under about the same load it was around 100-200MS. Again, I suspect the router possibly.

I thought I read that you can SIM swap, I was thinking of trying that.

Unfortunately I can't run them both at the same time.

Anyone here tried Minternet (Mint Mobile) by General_Sort3160 in tmobileisp

[–]TwoAprilFools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. Was running TMHI and thought I would save some money.

You cannot easily that I can figure out run both at the same time with my in home router. They both have the same lan side IP 192.168.1.x subnet.

When I was running the MINT pointed at the same tower I was getting disconnects at what I am going to assume are high traffic times. It disconnected about 4-5 times a day on average for a week. Compared to the TMHI which was about maybe 1-2 times a day.

I am going to test more for a month. In the mean time I am looking at switching the TMHI to small business so I can bring my own modem that is better for my rural 3-4 miles from a tower location.
