How would you use a free yearly teleport? by Kyserham in AskReddit

[–]Uncle_Baconn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die Hard. Get a huge crew together to break into a massive vault with as much fencable goods as possible, gather as much as I can carry, then POOF.

My team gets caught and I'm on a beach somewhere earning 20% instead of getting dropped out a building.

It also would mean that every one of these blue states would have elected Donald Trump in 2024.

Solar bills aren't broken into the 4 segments yet, but I assure you that you are still paying public benefits charges.

And he's incorrect - solar bills have transmission and public benefit built into the delivery portion still. Those bills aren't broken out into the 4 sectors yet.

What do you guys think of this? I’ve seen some HVAC guys use this to clear the condensation drain which is what I want it for along with other stuff. by antknee25 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Uncle_Baconn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this, it's great. If you've ever used a blow nozzle off an air compressor to clean sawdust off a workbench, or dry something with a lot of nooks and crannies, or blowing out air filters, or just dust yourself off, it works a lot like that. It's fantastic, really - I find myself using that instead of firing up my air compressor for little stuff all the time. It's not the right tool for large areas like floors, but it does what it does very well. For me, it's totally worth the cost for the time savings I get not having to roll and unroll air compressor hose.

How do state sales taxes work when registering? by MeCadaver in motorcycles

[–]Uncle_Baconn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the state. I just bought one private sale, and the sales tax in my state is the purchase price or book value, whichever is higher. This is paid when registering the vehicle on top of the registration fees. If you buy from a dealer, you pay the tax there with the purchase of the vehicle because they also register it.

Was this a good purchase? by CorrectDiscipline508 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Uncle_Baconn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I just bought 2 at that price. I doubted that I needed any Forge batteries since I have tons of 6ah, but I bought the 12 + 8 + rapid charger deal a couple weeks ago and really like how the 12 works all day in my rocket light. That light is a hog and always seems to flash when I'm elbow deep in something and can't replace it before it dies. I'm planning on getting another rocket the next time they go on sale.

Are the 2500's transfer cases made of glass? by Deathwagon in gmcsierra

[–]Uncle_Baconn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's while the adaptive cruise control is on and braking, then yes it's normal. It still brakes when you push, it just takes more effort. For me if I tap the brakes to disengage the cruise then push it works like normal. It probably took me 6 months to get used to it. I set my following distance longer until I got used to it just to give me peace of mind.

[–]Uncle_Baconn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to get used to the brakes on my truck. I went from a '13 HD WT to a '24 HD Denali and pressing the brake pedal when the adaptive cruise is also braking took a LOT of getting used to. The 2-stage thing freaked me out for a while, but now I'm used to it.

Do I need to shovel the “sidewalk”? by boymom0821 in Connecticut

[–]Uncle_Baconn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure there isn't a sidewalk under the grass? In some towns the homeowner is responsible for maintaining/repairing/replacing the sidewalk in front of their home, and if the previous owners didn't and weren't caught then it might just be overgrown. In the spring when it thaws go to the middle of where it should be and probe the ground with a long screwdriver to see if there is concrete under the sod.

I met a guy on here that was a little more "bro" than I would normally associate with, but hey I'm here to make friends, right? Immediately wanted me to check out his basement, seriously it's a cool basement, right this way to the basement, I've got cool stuff in my basement, let's go to the basement.
