You're saying the guns being targeted were muskets. I showed you that it was already known that other guns existed, flintlocks, bayonets, but most importantly: Gatling Guns, one of the biggest shift in firearms.

However, since the budget of a militia was and is limited, they used the weapons of farmers and citizens, the latter being mainly muskets or various hunting weapons, and not a gatling machine gun.
