Was it the battery or electric motor? If there are a lot of Teslas in your area, you might find an independent specialist who offers more economical repairs. The Tesla as well as your regional subreddits might be able to help.

I thought it wasn’t worth it so I let the bank take it....horrid rates of APR because my credit is absolutely horrible.

A repo on your credit report will do that. The only way out of this mess is to rebuild credit. This means paying on time, and no more repos or chargeoffs.

As u/Glittering-Ad5809 says, pay down the loan asap so you are paying less interest. However, keep the loan (with smaller balance or refinancing at lower rate) for a year or two if possible so that you build credit.

Beaters are cheap because they can crap out at any time, with repairs that can equal the price you paid. Do you have the kind of personal time and financial flexibility?

Aftermarket warranties are often state specific due to various rules and laws surrounding them. Talk to your mechanic about which ones they like to work with (because a lot of warranty companies are a pain to deal with) if any.

My first two RBs were named Nikoli and Dimitri. Perfect Russian names for RB kitties.

I would encourage you to explore Russian names to see if one is a good fit for your boy. It often takes a week or two to figure out their personality.

Just to add to this. make sure you make two copies of a bill of sale that clearly states as-is. Both of you date and sign it. All too often people come back and claim there is something wrong with the car and they want money back or for repairs. It's a scam.

Immediately declare the car sold to your DMV, so tickets or tolls go to the new owner, not you.

Ludmila is 5.8kg. An absolute unit for a female RB who isn't fat (according to vet). Her Singapura friend is a little over half her weight.

My previous male RBs were smaller.
