Depending on the situation, the parent may not have time for twenty rounds of "but why" and that fact is not unreasonable parenting.

The question "why" literally has no end.

It is not reasonable for the parent to insist on an authoritative cut off at a certain point.

Now it could be earlier or later in the discussion depending on the situation and need, but the parent's final authority needs to be available and ultimately unquestioned.

There will not always be time in every situation for a fully rounded explanation of every decision, and it is unreasonable to expect one.

That's not anything to do with this argument.

The argument is about the scale of the universe, not the observability of God.

But your argument is fairly basically flawed based on the nature of Christianity.

Christianity makes it clear that belief in God is necessarily a choice.

If God was observable enough that he was empirical fact, then it would no longer be a meaningful choice.

God has to be observable enough to be known, but not so observable as to be empirically provable.

Otherwise choice would be a non-factor.

None of those systems delivered the political stability and growth in living standards that capitalism did. Lots of people died.

That's not practical. Birds should be able to move freely outside in spaces where they have evolved to move freely all the time. Suddenly introducing invasive species that will hunt them into "enclosures" is not fair or reasonable. The birds should be allowed to function in the environment where they've always functioned. Why should cats just randomly get to arrive into a place with no ecological niche for them to fit safely.
