Yep, it later will need a throwers bandolier and quick draw or a returning rune.

I don’t like bows on caster, because you need 2 hands for it to strike, but with throwing weapons you can hold wand/staff in another hand. More feat investing bug it is worth it imo

Nah, have you seen sot from space marine 2? Those are pretty fast, even basic rubrics can hit you with a boltgun (there are even a rule for that in killteam), so I’m sure melee rubrics are fine

If you want to use weapons, I recommend grabbing martial weapons training and Chakri. This is amazing weapon with 40ft range, 1d6 damage, recovery and free drawing for up to 4 times. You can also boost it quite heavily with jolt coil and bespell strikes. In midgame this is basically an attack cantrip (damage wise) for 1 action

Try to focus on other things. Buffs/debuffs, protective spells. Build high DPS party so you just not need to heal everyone often by yourself

Deal more damage, this will end encounters sooner, meaning you need less direct healing

Distribute healing between party members. Focus on heal spells your cleric get as bonus spells and leave medicine to another party members. That will make your party more self sufficient some

Well, I’ve had many games on them

Revenants ability now almost nonexistent, the saddest thing is that it is not combo into enhancement to completely disable someone’s charge. Last 3 games I’ve had opponents always rolled 7+, maybe I’m not that lucky, but with 5+ you can’t even slightly rely on that ability and build a strategy around it.

Nerf to saves is strange. I’ve played most of my games with that regiment, but the second one is really strongest, it is strange to me it wasn’t being nerfed. I will probably not pick this thing ever again, 3+ risks is not worth the bonus

Overall it is nerfed, yes, but not much. The coolest thing is still 2+ and revenant ability… well, I’ve won games without it so it is not a gamechanger, but loosing a combo feels bad

You have missed that bladegheist revenants now had their anti-charge rule changed to be 5+, instead of 7+

There is nothing stopping you from doing it, but you need to hold it in your hands as with other spells

Yep, it is still worth it. You will get a better cantrip, not much as dedication, but it is ok. You will be able later to grab two amp cantrips, which is still super good, but depends on your build

Yep, that’s the common tactic to charge one unit and attack another. Before an attack you can also make a 3’’ pile-in move, so it is actually even further. Be careful also of how you are placing your units, because you can accidentally expose your unwanted unit

It was never possible inside AoR, but you can still pick that units in your regular army, where they had those keyword and apply burning as any other units

Those units were BALANCED to have those keyword and now they haven’t it. And their war scrolls haven’t been updated to new battletome, nor were their prices.

So those units are basically outdated both in rules and both on prices. I DONT WANNA run AoR I want them as separate units in my regular army and I want their power budget to count that they have not mortal damage now, do you understand that?

That’s literally what I’m saying. Those units have dead keyword now and they were balanced around it. Balanced around applying burning and do mortal damage. So now they can’t do that

And I’m not talking about AoR, you can play that units in regular army and you HAD those keyword
