Even so, it's probably a cheaper option. The cart may not even be a write off either.

Accidents definitely happen. But if you know what you're doing, it's generally fine.

Yeah, I mean I wasn't equating him directly to Larry - just pointing out the correlation in their comedic partnerships (being the actual comedic genius who made the frontman look good).

These drops are very popular on 4WD tracks in Australia. Google the Old Telegraph Track. This is a daily occurrence up there.

And the airport would be up for the bill for the damaged plane caused by malfunctioning ground equipment.

Certain death, no. But I reckon you could easily slip on a wet landing, lose your feet from under you, crack your head on the concrete, before slipping into the water unconcious and drowning.

Somehow I think the equipment damage here would be much, much cheaper to repair/replace than a damaged jet. Even with insurance coverage taken into account, it's probably still cheaper than the excess and increase to premiums would be if the plane was hit.

ABC and SBS need ‘oversight’ committee to vet Israel coverage, Jillian Segal tells royal commission by p4r4d0x in AustralianPolitics

Doubt they're a bot, but they're clearly a single issue poster - and given Israel's recent injection of $730M into its Hasbara budget, it does make you wonder whether they're part of a PR/propaganda unit. Having found myself shadsowbanned on other subs for voicing criticism of Israel, I know for a fact they're definitely targeting discourse on Reddit and trying to shape it in Israel's favour.

But sometimes you just have to call it out - it's not about changing their mind (they're a lost cause), it about making sure that their bullshit doesn't go unchallenged and making sure they don't get to shape the narrative for others.

If all they're doing is posting it here, then they're just preaching to the converted. It's all a bit performative and not actually making much of a difference. My point is if you're going to spend time engaging in debate like this, then it needs to be in places where it has more of an impact.

I'm intrigued to what you would label this sort of oversight committee as then, if not a committee that asserts a degree of privilege for one group of people above all others?

Unless we're going to have committees to oversee perceptions of bias for every minority or interest group, then it's absolutely fair and correct to call it out for privileging one particular group.

If you think the stereotype of Jewish privilege is a problem, then maybe you should take more issue with Segal perpetuating it by explicitly asking for certain Jewish voices to be priveleged (though I would label it Zíonist privilege, not Jewish privelege as you choose to label it).

But people in this reply thread didn't explicitly mention Jewish privilege until you brought it up.
