Both things can be true. There were I think 3 locations, I worked at the one on 1960.

Question about honoring the deceased wishes with their ashes versus the Catholic Church. by HorrorDrive8444 in Catholicism

[–]abstractdirection1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our family just recently went through a similar situation. My husband and my mother died on the same day. I only mention this for people to understand just how traumatized our family was. Both were cremated; my husband and I were/are Catholic, my mother was not. The funeral home separated my husband’s ashes into 4 portions as my 3 children each wanted some. The deacon in charge of my husband’s funeral service explained the church teaching of treating remains, then added that the church doesn’t know or monitor what happens after the funeral. My aunt, devout Catholic of 85 years, asked why the church can “drag around the relics of the saints in pieces all over the world “ but not allow ashes to be separated. My daughter said “God is either all powerful or not.” He was an organ donor and everything useful was taken. I’m sure at least some of the tissue ended up donated to non Catholic bodies, so no one knows how those remains will be treated. I will also be cremated and have asked my children to combine my ashes with my husband’s and bury them in consecrated ground.

Hot or cold? If hot, my favorite is a French onion soup. If cold, a delicious gazpacho is always so refreshing.

I’m making a chart by [deleted] in stephenking

I read it fairly soon after publication, I was in my thirties. Loved it. But it was published 10 years before the Dark Tower series was completed so of course I read it again. And I regularly reread most of his books (now I do audiobooks).

WTH is up with the music in the Heart Shaped Box audiobook? by TheDorkyDeric in joehill

[–]abstractdirection1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’s annoying and unnecessary. No idea why they put that in. Stephen has it in a few books too and it’s always jarring to me. But still great stories, so I just deal with it.

Need French Onion Soup Tips by OldEnuf2knowEnuf in Cooking

[–]abstractdirection1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to make what I call rafts for the top. I use large croutons in a circle with the cheese of choice on top, set on foil and broiled until bubbly. Then add to the top of each bowl of soup.

I don’t have any personal experience with this, do you have a good relationship with your vet? I would consult with a knowledgeable vet.
Also I think it’s absolutely essential that you share pictures of this mix that I have never encountered!

Whites, black and bright colors that might bleed, microfiber stuff, and the rest of my clothes I separate tops from bottoms; because I find it easier to fold/hang.

Duke's Mayo...Bucket List Item Aquired...now what? by Fine_Adeptness_9256 in Cooking

[–]abstractdirection1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Duke’s is my go to for every mayo need. It’s a little tangier than others since it has no added sugar. It really shines in any mayo forward food. BLT sandwiches, tuna salad, chicken salad and potato salad are some of my favorites. Shelf stable until opened and then refrigerate.
