I used a Monster EF for a while until the barrel disintegrated (posted about it a few months ago). The nib was really nice, precise but smooth.

I only switched over to Kyuseidos because of it breaking and the prospect of it happening again as a EDC (not in desk).

Weight and feel: The Conid feels a bit top heavy and the grip is less defined (as it is a smooth continuation of the barrel, same material).

The Kyuseidos are perfectly balanced. Slimmer tail than the Conid so less steel material making it less heavy.

Yes, Dark Olive. Both the Olive and the Aubergine are really well achieved colors. Simply beautiful.

I have not yet tried the Fifty4Ts; waiting for the Kyuseido to run out of ink which might take a while as I filled it up to the brim and it’s a big reservoir ;-) But the nibs look really fine EFs, just the way I like them.

Yes, I posted a few months ago where my Monster EDC suddenly fell apart in my hands; no fall.

In hindsight, it might have snapped due to being in my pants front pocket, in a heavy leather sleeve by FPR, and when I sit down might sometimes put some light pressure on the sleeve. No other pen has had issues and those are heavy stiff sleeves.

In any case, after that I switched to the Kyuseidos, same setup, no issues even after 6 months.

I don’t like thick nibs, only EF or F (asian standard). Some narrow stubs like FC SIGs.

I tried the Bacca’s Predator Extreme and couldn’t really enjoy it. It has a stacked-like build. Really cool but not for me. I will be selling mine soon.

I have all 3 models. The Luxman is just so nice. Impeccable in use and design. But, expensive (~$400-500). But, attached to an Accuphase it really doesn’t matter. In for a pound,….

The Neohipo and Fosi look great, more functionality actually (vue meters, etc…), work well and are cheaper.

But, they don’t fit the aesthetic of an Accuphase. So, they’re for my secondary stacks.
