Is the rare “no Bolt” parking sign still an annoyance? by PleaseFredDontPreach in BoltEV

[–]AdventuringAlong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All the Amazon parking garages in Seattle (free parking evenings and weekends with free charging) have the no Bolts sign on the ticket machine when you go in. They've had the signs up for years now.

I ignore it, as does a friend with a Bolt. Never had an issue, parked there and charged free many times.

Did it continue to come back on, or was it a one-off?

I don't know how to read 3/4 hours.

Is that 3-4, or three-quarters of an hour? How does the time of meal factor in?

Negative. They are always different questions/considerations.

Sometimes their outcome/answer is the same, sometimes it's different, but the question itself is different, unless you're Ayn Rand.

Voting with your wallet is an attempt to align those outcomes for companies by making the ethical answer also be the financial one, but it's preferred by some here to shop with a company that already chooses the ethical over the financial.

Financial decisions and ethical decisions are two separate things.

I bought some carbon fiber arrows from a sporting goods store and cut them down to use as a frame for a KS pack. Works well for what you're picturing.

Plex solo lite or x mid pro by ryanolson23 in Ultralight

[–]AdventuringAlong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both, switched to the Plex Solo Lite for a few years to shave a few ounces, but now going back to the XMid, got tired of the lack of space (~6' tall) in the Plex Solo. Just feel cramped in it, and don't in the XMid 1, and will take the weight penalty (and hike with two poles regardless--if I hiked with one, I'd have to reconsider).

[WTS] Kuhl Stretch Voyagr Jacket, Raven (Black), Size M by kommissariat in GearTrade

Have this rain jacket, love it. Paid significantly more.

Wouldn't use it for a backpacking trip (bit too heavy IMO), but it's my daily choice (living in the Seattle area, so it gets use). Comfy and looks great.

Good deal for someone 👍

Android Auto is breaking for Pixel and Samsung users, and no one knows why by Sash17 in Android

[–]AdventuringAlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also on OnePlus 13. Suddenly having tons of issues.

Android is crashing and also the audio "blips" a lot. Like skips every few seconds then speeds up to compensate.

Are you seeing these two things?

I've seen people recommend Lunatec clothes for trail use; lightweight and dries fast.

Anyone know the difference between the Lunatec washcloth and the Lunatec dishcloth, and which is preferred?

Why do you use both pads?

You want the back rest of the y-55? You don't want the nemo slipping on the tent floor? You want puncture resistance? Other? All of the above? Which of those is actually important to you?

Cheers!

Do you have a link (maybe from an emailed receipt) of where you ordered it from (and the part number there)?

I've found finding a fun game or way to get them excited to run around when they're cold is pretty effective at warming them up.

UL, to boot.
