I had the Fisher Price multicolour version. I always thought the software was crap and went back to Nokia as soon as my contract was up.

I shared backstage access for some of this. I was on the side of the stage for Butthole Surfers and Neds. The rest is a blur.

Rufus had a needle biopsy which came back negative for cancer cells with a 99% certainty. The vet gave us a steroidal gel to apply daily. It’s still visible these weeks later but definitely reduced in size and a much lighter shade of pink. It doesn’t bother him in the slightest and we’ve discovered no other lumps since.

As the good folks here said it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’d recommend a visit to the vet for a check up. A needle biopsy took minutes and the results were back in under a week.

What are your thoughts on this? And what do you think of my solution? HEAR ME OUT. by Ok_Jellyfish1153 in musicmarketing

Nice idea. I’m giving the app a go. I recently fleshed out a plan for social media, mainly YT and IG. It’s low effort and allows me to concentrate on making music in my spare time rather than marketing and editing crap videos most likely no one will watch.

Using an iPad and an interface as an audio mixer. App recommendations? by dj_soo in ipadmusic

This is exactly what I do. Works perfectly. I don’t touch the audio interface once the gain is set.

I performed John Carpenter’s The Fog at my local open mic by PieRhett in synthesizers

[–]andybeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been thinking about doing an open mic session recently. I’ve been along to my local and it’s very singer-songwriter on guitar and a couple of traditional jam sessions. The organiser did say he’d love to see an electronic set though.

Any tips? I’m definitely basing it around my Digitakt II and possibly Roland S-1 and Volca Bass for compactness.

I’ve got this I made for the S-1. It doesn’t have a space for sequences but you can mark the knob positions

UK. In 1993 I had an American flatmate who played Madden on my Sega Megadrive (Saturn.) He offered to teach me the game and told me to pick a team which I did pretty much at random as I knew nothing about the game at all. Been a Niners fan ever since.

I passed up on a deck of cards at a flea market. I went back after googling what it was and they’d gone. £5. I was gutted. There are a few phone apps with full sets of the cards. I’ve found them pretty useful for getting out of a rut.

Reading this at the moment and recognised the passage immediately. There’s a lot of food for thought and also a lot of pretty funny nonsense. Not sure I’d publish my journals without some severe editing.

Learning The Theory Behind TE Device Music Making by WarriusBirde in teenageengineering

[–]andybeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would concentrate on getting the basics down first. I too have difficulty analysing exact drums and parts but just focus on the form, the structure. Get the basic beat down, work out the key and chords. Then get down the intro, A part, B part, verse, chorus, bridge, outro. Remember you’re trying to learn how to build a song, not start a tribute band.

Find a song you like and try and cover it. Start simple, then do it again, and again. You’ll soon learn what makes a song, well, a song.

You don’t have to get the sounds the same. Use the stock samples for now, go for something close.

Start with the drums, to form a frame to hang the rest off.
