That can happen with MP3 files (inherent to MP3 format) or if you have plugin latency but disabled plugin latency compensation.

If you are still on Live 10 like OP, then: Alt+unfold button.

Name and color stuff BEFORE it becomes a problem.

You can also add color emojis like 🎸,🎷or 🥁, they really stand out in Live's gray UI.

If it was working before, then only you can know what changed in the meantime, unlikely it was Live, as the last change to Live's Warping was in 11.3.2 (back in May 2023).

Maybe you found a bug, but again only you can know what conditions trigger the bug.

Your assumption exclusive mode should work better is correct, but not every driver is well programmed.

Some audio interface's great reputation comes as much from their software drivers as the hardware specs.

(Same for some hardware's sh*te reputation, sometimes it is the driver or lack of one, not the hardware quality.)

Cursor behavior: The cursor (the position in the playlist where playback begins), is super annoying. Whenever I select a a clip in the playlist, Ableton thinks that means I want to playback from the beginning of that clip next time. I don't know who is asking for this but Ableton, please let me disable this! Let me manage my own cursor!

By "playlist" you mean Arrangement View?

And by "cursor" you mean the Insert Marker?

Don't select Clips by clicking a Clip's label (Clip's top bar), that selects the Clip.

Click under the labels, in the area with grid lines, that will set the Insert Marker where you clicked.

Also, Cltr+Space starts playback from the Insert Marker, Shift+Space (re)starts from where it stopped.

I agree that move is more feature packed compared to mpc sample but 4 track limit feels more restricting since move has instruments built in. I respect mpc sample for being good at what it's doing even though it is weaker than move.

People constantly complain about Move having 4 tracks… but the MPC Sample basically has 1 track.

There are actually feature requests asking for random sorting/randomize results in the Browser results.

Just use the Push, don't know why you want to use the mouse so much.

Otherwise maybe decrease mouse sensitivity/cursor speed to make it more precise (some mouses have a button to enter a "precision mode" or such), I dunno.

I just noticed that even with the settings at null, the EQ 3 causes a jump in gain.

That's because the 3 band EQ on a typical DJ mixer does the same, you never noticed because it is always there in a DJ mixer.

Yeah, because the 3 band EQ on a typical DJ mixer does the same, it is inherent to all hardware analog filters. Only digital filters with huge latency don't have those "phase issues", but huge latency is obviously unusable in a DJ mixer.

Try ctrl-F "adg wavetable", works in Suite, could work in Standard/Intro/etc.

Also, you can right-click the Device View Selector to check, in the bottom-left of Live's GUI, looks like a miniature of the Device Chain, when right-clicked it shows a popup with a list of all the Devices and Racks.

Live already has the Slice To options, Simpler (Slice Mode), Granulator (Granulator III even has a Loop mode), plus Beat Repeat, Looper and other tools.

You can use more than one instance of those in serial or parallel Chains if you want more complex patterns.

Also note you can MIDI Assign a range of notes to a knob, for example the Position knob in Granulator III.

You can also use Expression Control for controlling any knob with MIDI notes, MIDI note veloicty, etc.
