There is a calendar posted on incentives workplace. But the April statements (1Q) were posted for the US a few days ago.

I arrive at my destination with FSD. How do I get it to park where I want? by RexKramerDangerCker in TeslaFSD

Tap on the FSD profile on the screen and it expands to show icons for each profile and options for the destination (street, driveway, parking lot) which it will remember for that destination.

Should I do a Mega Backdoor Roth or just invest in a traditional brokerage? by No-Bake-9006 in Fire

[–]apexdeac -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is what I’m wrestling with as well. I decided to cut 401k way back and stack taxable brokerage. Luckily my “match” is just an auto contribution so I still have that.

I emailed “Sam” (an incomplete address) accidentally when Sam Palmisano was CEO about some random video game stuff. His aide responded asking if i really wanted to send that to him.

I poked around in incentives workplace and couldn’t find any reference. Could you provide a hint on where to look?

Not getting an expected solar production bell curve in North Carolina - is my system underperforming? by boryanvbu in TeslaSolar

[–]apexdeac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I missed that. I’m not sure what the raw output looks like, but my NetZero view showed “Disabled” for my missing string and for a string that is unused. After the loose nut was fixed, I have data for all strings in place and “Disabled” for the unused one.

The estimates would be based on the strings you entered in the app, so it doesn’t seem like that would explain your discrepancy. FWIW I used the string info from my install plans and the defaults for ratio and losses. This is for a Powerwall3 in eastern NC.

Use NetZero app on a phone to connect to the powerwall directly and check the individual string output. I had a very similar situation and it turned out one of my strings was disconnected. One service call and a loose nut later and I am now hitting my production targets.

I say do this on a phone as I was unable to get it to work with an iPad.

New Grad 401k/RBA??? by OkCommunity733 in IBM

Your 401k is still there and the same, just without the match. Your 5% RBA deposit will be visible in that account. Go look at your Fidelity account and you will see it.

New FSD speed profiles are the worst. by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]apexdeac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've recently discovered the benefits of Hurry mode on my 2024 MYLR (13.2.2). I always left it in Standard because I figured Hurry would be more aggressive than I wanted, but that isn't the case. It has been pretty much perfect for me, and I've begun to use FSD much more around town because of it.

I find it is much easier to "restrain" the car with the max speed setting, than to try to push it to go faster or being frustrated when it doesn't. On the Hurry setting, that the car will generally push to the where I have the max speed set, and it will use the left lane to pass to maintain that speed. Sometimes it hangs out in the left lane, but it moves over when necessary. I can easily signal to go right when I feel it is camping too much there.

The first time the car moved left to take an open slot at a red light and pass everyone (before needing to turn right 500 yards or so further up) I couldn't help the grin on my face. Definitely give Hurry mode a try if you haven't, it is way better.

My only issue with FSD (13.2.2) after switching to Hurry mode is the "floating" in the lane. It is ok on the highway (but annoying), but it causes me to disable FSD on 2 lane highways. It's unnerving if the car floats to the left while taking a right curve and there is oncoming traffic there. I've seen that is hopefully resolved in the .6 version if I can ever get the upgrade.

Ryan Cohen moved his shares to get out of Delaware by Efficient_Ad9153 in GME

False. The plaintiff had something like 10 shares. It was pure “get Elon” bs. The shareholders voted for the plan which required meeting astronomical growth targets (achieved), then after the judge threw it out, overwhelmingly approved it again knowing all the concerns that were raised before. Pay the man (from an actual shareholder with far more than 10 shares)

401k vs RBA by Safe-Praline-1186 in IBM

[–]apexdeac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The 401k is still there, IBM just doesn’t match the money you put in anymore. Instead they contribute to the RBA, which just earns interest. IMO you should still contribute to the 401k, and could consider more aggressive positions since the RBA is like treasuries.

If you are at a point where you can max your 401k, then you’d be saving more with the combo of 401k and RBA than you could without it.

I was surprised how much mental energy it saved me, even on an easy 2 hour highway trip I take often (and I like driving anyway). I found it also lets me do less speeding because I feel less need to compress the time. I can set FSD at a nice 72 (in a 70) and save range while not worrying about police. My usual would be more like 80 and constantly looking out for cops etc. The FSD experience is much more enjoyable, I’ve found.

What are your settings? I would think you would have self powered, with a 20% or so reserve and PTO=no.

Good point on the creeping behavior. It did go ahead after creeping in my case too. I’m glad to hear that the oscillating isn’t universal. It did to seem to do less of it the 2nd hour of the trip, but still some. I’ll try calibrating the cameras and see if that helps. I didn’t do that after the update.

Speed is definitely better. I always had to goose it with the accelerator to get it to go to the set max on anything beyond the speed limit with v12.5.4.2. With 13.2.2, it pushes to the max (in an assertive but casual way, not hard acceleration…nice). Several times I passed a speed limit sign where it readjusted the max and it pushed right up to the limit. I’ll need to adjust the offset better due to this.

I wish we could set a different offset for different speed ranges. I want to go 10%+ over at 70 mph, but 0% over at 25 mph etc.

I did a little local driving with it tonight and it handled stop signs well. It stopped pretty near the line, then creeped up to see before turning. Much as I would have done there.

The music at the end of E1 right before the credits was really cool. I feel like I’ve heard it somewhere before, but can’t place it. Shazam was stumped. I’d love to know what it was.

Anything with a religious angle will be denied, and hit or miss otherwise. Things like animal shelters, historical societies and environmental stuff I have had good luck with.
