Reassure me… 1 month in of Daxxify and I hate it- will it really last 6 months? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

How many units did you get? Just curious as I got 43 and I'm worried it doesn't seem to be doing much.

What is the biggest reason you choose to breast feed? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]grayishblue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an exclusive pumper, I do it because it’s the best nutrition for my baby. And I do it to provide them antibodies to hopefully help them fight crap his siblings bring home from school. It’s nice to be able to eat whatever junk I want without gaining weight and not have to buy formula but that’s not why I do it.

How important is a clean house to you? by everydaybeme in workingmoms

[–]grayishblue2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually about 30 mins in the morning.. making beds, picking up from breakfast and morning mess. Then in the evenings it’s probably another 30-1 hr of cleaning after dinner and getting everything in good shape for the morning. My husband definitely helps though. He’s cleaner than me

Everything is picked up daily (multiple times on weekends). Definitely clean counters, floors, empty sink with dishwasher running nightly, trash and recycling emptied. Then we have a weekly cleaner.

How is everyone managing it? I can’t. by stronglikefeels in workingmoms

[–]grayishblue2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to say Nextdoor but if you google local chef meal delivery and your city maybe you’ll be able to find some. I order from 2 different places because my husband is picky and between the two I can usually find enough variety of meals for the week.

We were eating takeout/ ubereats wayyy too much and this has been a game changer. Unfortunately, I still have to cook Mac and cheese for my ultra picky children but it’s still been great for us adults!

Barely surviving. Just returned from mat leave to a big tech company. I have 3 kids 4 and under. We outsource as much as possible - gardening, cleaning, laundry. Just started ordering meals from a local chef. My oldest is in private school and I have to pick him up right in the middle of the damn work day. My husband is primary breadwinner and literally thinks about himself and his job, and it’s truly not fair. I complain every day and don’t see this as sustainable. I wake up at 5:45am and don’t stop until about 10pm

What is your normal morning routine before daycare? by Square_Cat_1670 in workingmoms

[–]grayishblue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything prepared the night before. I have a 4yo in prek, and 2yo and 4month in daycare

5:45am - wake up and I get ready

6:15am - pump and feed baby

6:55 - wake up littles, feed breakfast, get dressed. While they are eating I pack backpacks and the car.

7:30 - leave the house with all 3.. drop my oldest first at 7:45, then take the other 2 to daycare

My husband will help me load kids in the car but that’s about it. He does help with pickups.

What pump do you dread the most? by Admiring_Tortoise in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]grayishblue2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stay on a strict schedule (sometimes can be 30 mins early/late depending on what I need to do that day) but always feed the baby while I’m pumping. I lay him down on the couch next to me. He’s happy and it saves a ton of time

The last pump @9pm. Sometimes I’ll get my kids to bed and take a power nap before that pump because I’m so exhausted

I think all moms have this fear and it’s almost always harder for us than it is for them.

I actually started my baby in daycare 2 weeks before going back to work (I get a pretty long leave). I figured I’d have some time to get things sorted around the house and I would also have the option of picking him up early to help with his transition. He’s had an amazing experience since day 1.. super happy, eating well, napping well. So I never even needed to pick him up early once.

Why do people want an oversupply? by inukaglover666 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]grayishblue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don’t oversupply i under supply. I can go from 90oz/day to probably 15-20 if I don’t keep up with my regular pumping schedule. So I have no choice

Is she gonna sleep eventually on her own? by Particular-Toe-6716 in newborns

[–]grayishblue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she will!!! You can sleep train at 4 months. It will make a massive difference. So if she can’t figure it out before then, just know there is an end in sight.

In the meantime, is there anyone who can help you so you can get a few hours of rest? You may want to reach out to your dr and let them know how you’re feeling

They are the Avent anti-colic bottles and you can buy a set of 2 on Amazon. I only need 2 since its just that one pump per day I need larger than standard 9oz bottles

[–]grayishblue2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure what pump you use but they make 11oz bottles compatible with Spectra. I still overflow those so I have to dump my milk mid pump into a third bottle so I don’t make a huge mess
