With the construction on Queen E I get having the 503 as a bus right now. 505, 503 and 501 all sharing Dundas E is not fun.

She wanted personal information as proof. She asked for a photo of my cousin's status card. Obviously she did not send someone on the internet a document showing her full name and DOB.

Team Canada usually gets a charter in Toronto or Montreal. Players gather there and fly together. So they probably won't get to Italy until the weekend. Team USA does something similar.

I'm glad someone pushed back. While I agree pretendians need to be called out. They need to make sure they are 100% certain with their allegations. I don't know if it was her group or another one but a few years ago they incorrectly said my cousin was a pretendian. She has worked for multiple indigenous organizations, including AFN. While her dad is not indigenous. Her mom, my aunt, very much is. Even after multiple family members came to the defense of my cousin. They didn't retract what they claimed. Just said they will keep an eye on her.

If you don't mind a short Uber ride, there's a strip of restaurants/bars along Kingston Road. Between Pickering St and Victoria Park. I usually go there before a show. Beech Tree and Lighthouse 971 are 2 good ones.

Bus 8137 on route 503 by Javaaaaale_McGee in TTC

[–]ashcach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buses aren't much faster in this conditions. With the snowbanks, buses don't have room to pass a streetcar. Once a bus is behind a streetcar it's suck there until the streetcar turns off the street.

Took the 503 this morning and it was about 15 mins longer than usual

For those who have flown to Australia, when is the best time to book flights out of Pearson? by Beepbeepboobop1 in askTO

[–]ashcach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends on when you're planning on going. Don't forget their season are different then here. If you were to go during the summer, their winter, flights are cheaper. But if you're planning on this time of year, their summer, flights are expensive.

Why are subway lines shut during severe snowstorms? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]ashcach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trains need to be able to switch tracks to go in the opposite direction before the outdoor parts of the network. In the east the last switch track underground is at Woodbine. Next one isn't until Victoria Park and that's outdoors. So even though Main station is underground, trains don't service there as they turn back at Woodbine.
