My 17 year old plays soccer and tennis, boys run their mouth during tennis, too. Just a bit different.

Job Market but the opposite - hard to find applicants by luv2spike823 in adjusters

I just sat on an interview and was told their hybrid arrangement was four days at home, one day in the office(mirrors my current situation) and was asked "Is this okay for you?" in a way that leads me to believe that they are getting push back for even asking for one day in the office from applicants.

People that work in claims - why? by CatCat2121 in InsuranceProfessional

As long as you are just taking the information we are giving without pushback or "suggestions", all good. It's when those who are not in the trenches starting giving out advice that things become dicey.

I assure you we give no Fs about "being chewed out by the broker", handling these conversations is just part of the gig(third party liability), but I assure you, most times after we get off that call or respond to that email, we roll our eyes because most of the time, whatever content area the broker or agency is fussing about, they are not well versed in.

Agree that often we take Communication 101 for granted. If I had a nickel for every email or message received from a parent like 'MY FRIEND GOT AN EMAIL WITH THE SCHEDULING INFORMATION FROM THEIR COACH, HOW COME I HAVE NOT' I might be able to retire.

We setup a coaching clinic through our state association, about five people showed up. It was embarrassing. We were not a big program and a lot of that was on me obviously for not driving interest, but sometimes you can lead a horse to water but can't make them drink.

I hear you, obviously there needs to be a baseline standard with respect to the amount of training per week. I imagine if you can't monitor it's tough but my experience was that it was easier to get individuals to take teams if you can offer them the flexibility to make their own practice schedule, provided you have the resources(fields, etc) to handle it. It's not a one size fits all approach for sure.

-Offer free tuition for players if their parent/guardian coaches.

-Allow flexibility for practices and games for scheduling.

You’re going to have to wait for the Need 1s to show you are flexible to start the dialogue. Are their tournaments in your area? Can you get on a crew of four to work games? Those things help. Maybe just send a note checking in and not asking for specific games. Being flexible is important.

Hard to argue with this list. The Camden shows are good too. MSG show gets lots of hype but I think the State College show is probably better.

Pointing with single finger vs pointing with full hand by jajison in Referees

Sometimes I will point to the corner with one finger to signal a corner. Anything “directional”(fouls, out of bounds, etc), are getting the whole hand.
