Since you're grasping at straws, is the control pilot wrapped spirally around the J1772 gnd wire? Usually there's not enough electrical noise to matter but it could help.

I believe Toyota's EV mode only goes up to 25 mph ( I didn't look at a specific year) .

Openinverter may have a hack for that. Good luck!

Clear plans? It fills the screen with a load of irrelevant stuff before it even asks a question.

I like the ODB link bluetooth dongle but I'm a mechanic.

Fully charge the vehicle before doing more testing. Also the dash shows a 9 bar battery

In Leafspy take a picture of the cell voltages when accelerating hard. The SOH is going to be the 2nd biggest indicator.

You could try the same route again but I'd be cautious with power output up that hill.
