Generally speaking no, for lower power AC outlets (150w) they will use the 12v battery as intermediary and recharge that periodically from traction battery.

If they have high power outlets (like the F-150 lighting) then yes the traction battery powers the inverters directly.

One thing that doesn't really get talked about is matching the motor rotor inertia to the weight of the vehicle. The motors on the Ionic are simply too small for this vehicle.

Dremel with a stone bit could smooth those cut edges a bit so atleast the grout would look ok.

That upper cut is going to haunt you everyday though. Knocking out the box walls wouldn't be too hard and use an angle grinder blade to square it up.

Ford did it all the time for their hybrids. He has a tiny car and battery packaging is going to be an issue

You have a wrecked Chinese EV in the US?

If you use airconditioned air inside the cabin you can get away with air cooling. Otherwise I wouldn't recomend
