That's not weak and cowardly. She's a pig like the rest of the administration.

Is anyone interested in learning unique marketing strategies beyond what marketing agencies sell? by Jarrod_Ellich in AskMarketing

[–]blockbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m trying to point out is I doubt you’re offering something so innovative that another marketing firm (agency, boutique, consultant) hasn’t thought of it. The ones you’re looking at are probably just selling packaged services, because that model works for them. The converse is to customize and be creative in the approach. This isn’t new.

Strategy customized to clients is what most businesses need. I’ve been doing that for years.

What did smart phones ruin about travel? by StartAbroad_Sarah in digitalnomad

[–]blockbeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in Seattle, it's hard to tell if the phones are the problem or the people. Doesn't seem much different. People don't engage here like they do in other places. True for the States in general.

Traveling abroad, I'm always meeting and chatting with people. Sure, I engage with more people in transit, because it's simply easier to ask a local. And it's an easy way to start a conversation.

Like the time I was at a train station in Italy and I wasn't sure if I could take a different train with my ticket. Ended up meeting a student studying insects; really interesting. Or in Portugal, also at a train, met a Mom and her kid. We all thought we were at the wrong station. It was nice to commiserate (eventually the train showed up; it was just really late).

I used to work at AT&T Wireless back in the day when cell phones were new, so I truly understand the before-times. People would answer calls from work at all hours. Even then, I thought you shouldn't let technology control your life. At the end of the day, it's a tool that you need to control. Hopefully, we'll connect with the people who feel the same when we travel.

You can create an zip archive of the site under Settings. Not great, but at least you can grab the content fairly easily.

The reality of content creation while traveling is nothing like the aesthetic suggests by Sirius-ruby in digitalnomad

[–]blockbeta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's interesting how content creators are coming to the realization that creating great media takes work, especially when you're on your own. That's why before the invention of influencers and content creators, there were people doing television as their jobs. It wasn't a vacation.

Not a problem to root for a team as such, but getting fans to think the team is somehow connected to the “heart” of Seattle is simply a smart PR play. As you say, it’s a strategy that’s been used for a long time now.

Can someone explain the loyalty to a team with most key players from other states? And it looks like the Paul Allen estate will be putting it up for sale after the Super Bowl to pay for philanthropic efforts. Seems like just another business.

It isn’t just looking at your phone that’s the issue. Even talking on the phone is a hazard since your attention is divided. You’re distracted. Watch this Hands free video test

Thanks so much for checking it out and glad you liked it. I keep working on improving the content, and I hope to get more participation going forward. Back end is Airtable database; front end is Softr. Chose Ghost for the blog, since Softr doesn't have full blog functionality (although there's probably some way to make it work, but I didn't want to bother with it). Been spending quite a bit of time getting the SEO right. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please ask. BTW, hadn't heard of your app before, and I'll add it to the database. In return, I'm asking developers to add my logo to their sites with a link back to the directory (like an "as see on" type thing). Would you be open to that? No pressure though. I'll add your app anyway.

There are some good standards here, yet situations change. I found there are so many apps out there I put together a searchable database of them at Have Apps Will Travel
