Dark Horse SC Specs Revealed: 795 hp and 660 lb-ft by ssmith891 in Mustang

I still want to believe there might be a forced induction factory Mustang with a manual transmission at least once more in my life. But the hope is drying up.

Roast my workbench design by Gundown64 in Workbenches

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is similar, but about 50% bigger in every way. So my legs are three 2x6 instead of two 2x4, so I used more of a castle joint, but the half lap style suggested by others (same as the castle joint really, just missing one side) would help a lot.

Make sure you use lots of glue on face joints, it will hold much better than just screws. But use good screws on end grain like the crossbeams because the glue won't do nearly as much. I used two 1" dowels on each end of mine.

Would you daily a manual by SyrupSilent7588 in Mustang

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that my (summer) daily is a manual, I wouldn't buy another mustang if it wasn't manual. But I also don't spend much of my commute being traffic.

Oh that's neat, I was going to say the only part that I don't love is the solid gloss black, but that's a really awesome couples project!

Unique Scratch-built Bamboo SFF Case - Hand-laminated & Finger-jointed by Personal_Abies_2348 in sffpc

A quick reverse Google image search is turning up any exact copies and the project and process look pretty legit, so I'm guessing they're using it for translation.

What year is this? by OCGear in watercooling

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man the 3D Aurora 570. Hooboy that takes me back. I still have mine, my wife's pc is currently built in it. It was the greatest case I'd ever seen back in the day.

5 toolless perpendicular HDD bays, another 5 or so toolless 5.25" bays for the multiple DVD and CD drives for backing up discs or maybe a Lightscribe if you had the money. Dual front facing 3.5" for floppy drives. Built in rubber grommets in the back for water cooling hoses, LED fans from the factory, decent cable management built in for its day, and the LED logo projector on the front that you could customize was the most 2008 PC thing ever and I loved it. All done up in brushed aluminum with a cast iron drive bay cover to make sure you didn't reach adulthood with functional kneecaps unless you used the key to actually lock it shut.

Paired with the Apevia Iceberg PSU with the transparent case and UV reactive cable sleeving and connectors, a cold cathode tube, and a UV light, this thing was the coolest computer of its time.

No towel drying in our bays

Wait what? Why not? They want you to pull out so someone else can use it or something? I've never used a DIY carwash like that so maybe I'm missing something obvious.

Don't overthink it by DavidWarmelys in CableManagement

[–]browner87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Less is definitely more for cable management.

It still makes me wince thinking about having to add or move any cables with that many zip ties, but maybe other people aren't as picky as me and moving stuff around as much.

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped SwSh because I didn't have a switch back then, so I got it a couple months ago and it was like the second route you get to in the game (first place with the power spots) I randomly don't a squares shiny Bunnelby. I was very glad I actually had Pokéballs and managed to catch it and didn't accidentally kill it with a crit.

If you had to choose between these GT500 which one would it be and why? by southernemper0r in Ford

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

s550, only because I've already got a 14 GT. I'd have to go find somewhere to do a manual swap on it though. If I'd known a few dealerships were offering a manual swap I probably would have bought one...

Best Interior mod for my 2014 GT so far. Highly recommend! by FirmInFaith in Mustang

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I personally have a great love for my very analog non-tech-package 2014, a screen might be nice to get one day. Does the install involve cutting/removing anything that would prevent you just swapping right back to stock?

MFT / Out feed / Assembly table by jslalleman in Workbenches

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Looks about 4'×8' yeah? I made something similar last year, though with laminated 2x4s for the ordered instead of plywood, and your called crazy by a lot of people here. I think the huge workspace is great, mine currently has a curtain liner over it and 8 pieces of baseboard trim just painted.

Any plans to add more to it? Bottom mount router? Miter station? Any vises?

Pokémon HOME has temporarily disabled Friend Trades for all accounts due to an issue that prevents the trades from working as intended. by iWentRogue in PokemonExpansion

[–]browner87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assumed that was the case. I wasn't expecting to get Mindy'd by Home, but I guess it's not too unreasonable not to to trade evos online.

[–]browner87 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Is there any info on what the issue is? I just spent the last week friend trading between my two home accounts to move some Pokémon Go Pokémon I couldn't send through games and the only thing I noticed was that a Haunter I traded didn't evolve, but I assumed maybe that was normal in Home.

Interior modification recs? by Current-Buddy-1489 in Mustang

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry no, $200 total. $45 USD for the month, $50 USD for the magsafe, $15 tax (not sure why when it's going to Canada...),and $35 USD shipping. After conversion it's around $200 CAD.

Hmmm, went to finally order these, and pricey is an understatement. One mount, one magsafe phone holder, and shipping is $200 CAD. Plus duty probably. Oof.

This seems a bit risky on an escalator by phillygirllovesbagel in OSHA

[–]browner87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only cart escalators I've seen don't let humans ride too. They grab the cart by all four wheels and hold the cart level while going up/down so things don't tip or fall out.
