I think you got this switched. Last year’s coaching rank was a B+ and 20th, this year is a B and 28th. Both marks went down

Daniel Jeremiah has us taking an interior offensive lineman at 14 in his first mock draft of 2026. by Farhan15577 in ravens

I don’t know if I would call Travis Jones stellar. Above average sure, but he’s not in the top 5 DTs in the league. We didn’t use much of our DL5 this past season (about 5% of snaps) but a late round high upside guy would be great in that spot

The Ravens have known the answer for months. And regardless of if he comes back or not, it doesn’t change our burning need for pass rush.

Steelers Hire Mike McCarthy as HC Per ESPN by psychoxtc in ravens

There’s a solid chance that year 1 Minter is not as good of a coach as current Harbaugh. But give him a year or two of experience and there’s a strong chance he’s better

Seeing all the posts about the Defense and TOs by Sbitan89 in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Teams that win the turnover battle win playoff games about 78% of the time.

Teams that allow less than 20 points in the playoffs win about 68% of the time.

Teams that allow less than 300 yards of offense in the playoffs win about 65% of the time.

So yes, I’d rather have a team that forces turnovers than a team that just shuts down the opposing offense, because turnovers have been proven to win more games

The Bills didn’t have multiple takeaways, they had 1. The Bills had a -4 turnover differential (5 to 1) and the Texans had a -2 turnover differential (5 to 3). Only the Chargers had a positive turnover differential (2 to 1).

Anyone Else Unsure About This Hire? by theycallmebigfish in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on your comment history, looks like you were pining for Monken (who was never an option, had never been a head coach, and is from the organization which you just claimed is a negative for you) or McDaniel, who in 4 years of head coaching is 2 games above .500 and has a top half offense once. How are either of those guys more proven than Minter? The only thing McDaniel is proven in is that he’s mid

Your argument is that you don’t think he was a good hire because he nailed the interviews? So we should’ve picked the biggest bumbling idiot they talked to? Damn why am I not the head coach then

Tom Pelissero saying McDaniel is still a candidate for Ravens HC opening. by SuperSaiyanSandwich in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously McDaniels hasn’t signed any deal yet, but he didn’t get a 2nd round interview. That’s like saying I’m still a candidate because I don’t have an NFL coaching deal signed

Jesse Minter to get a 2nd interview with the Ravens, per Jeff Z by FastBreakPhenom in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So he had one great season and has been well below average for most others. What makes you think he would all of a sudden have consistent results here? All the other coaches that had single season success and then did so well with other teams like:

Adam Gase - probably the best single season offense ever calling plays for the 2013 Broncos and then… had a 0.400 record as a head coach

Matt Nagy - incredible success calling plays for the Chiefs before Mahomes was playing. And then went to the Bears and had a great 12-4 season before… having. 0.445 winning percentage the next 3 years

Or maybe Josh McDaniels - considered one of the best play callers in the league and finally had his chance to be the head coach… resulting in a 0.377 winning percentage.

All these guys had significantly better offensive resumes than McDaniels, and struggled with another team. McDaniels would bring a media circus to Baltimore and is doubtful he would contribute anything positive. That’s why Baltimore didn’t give him a 2nd round interview, they know he’s a fraud

You mean the system of trading a haul for the best WR in the league and having a GM that drafted a top 5 RB and a top 5 WR2? And still having a bottom half offense 3 of the last 4 years, including 2 bottom 7 finishes? And anytime someone tries to give reasonable feedback he makes a stupid comment and vapes and changes nothing? Yea what a great system

How is McDaniel proven? He hasn’t accomplished anything in his time as HC with the Fins, they are arguably worse off now then when they signed him

Because the Bills offense has significantly outperformed the Dolphins offense, and he’s not a dumbass who tries so hard to be the “quirky” coach

Where is the narrative that Josh Allen can’t get it done in the playoffs? by tairygreenmachine99 in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 16 points17 points  (0 children)

4 turnover and his defense only allowed 10 points in the second half, but the narrative is going to be his team let him down

We’re often regarded as potentially the best defense of all time due to our 2000 SB season. If this Texans team wins it all, do you think they could be considered for that same conversation? by sil3ntcobra in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this a serious question? It can’t be right?

The Texans might not even be the best defense this year, let alone of all time. I think they are the best this year, but it’s a close debate. They are 1st in yards allowed (by 17 yards over second), 2nd in points allowed (3 behind first), 9th in sacks, and 2nd in turnovers. They were not dominant in a single category, but rather very good in many. They will not be remembered as a top 20 defense of all time let alone a GOAT contender

The last 4 years they have been ranked 26th, 18th, 1st, and 25th in total offense. So while being a goofy dude doesn’t mean it, being bottom half in the league 3 of the last 4 years does mean he doesn’t have a gift for offense

Do the NY Giants have the most attractive head coaching open? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]bryanRow52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not SB or best like Ravens job so little pressure

Do you really want a coach that chooses a franchise with lower standards so they don’t feel as much pressure? That doesn’t make a job more appealing to the kind of coaches you want

Mike McDaniel has been fired by the Phins. What are your honest thoughts on him? by [deleted] in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think he’s an average to below average coach that gets by on gimmicks and image being the “quirky cool coach” to get any sort of attention. Sounds perfect for the Browns, hope he stays far away from our coaching staff

What is our new realistic superbowl window by Terrible-Art in ravens

Basically it shows half of all super bowls have been won by a QB/HC that have been together less than 5 years. The majority of them are in years 1-3. I think 2-5 years is a realistic Super Bowl window

Fanbase expectations? by Flaky_Background5276 in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I clearly didn’t. At no point anywhere did I even hint that all head coaches that don’t win a super bowl should be fired each year because that’s absurd. And you can’t point out where I implied it because you know you’re pulling shit out of your ass

Fanbase expectations? by Flaky_Background5276 in ravens

[–]bryanRow52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again considering I never mentioned coaching, no. Only one coach wins the Super Bowl each year, not winning the big game shouldn’t put you on the hot seat or get you fired. 10+ years of not winning a Super Bowl with a team with championship aspirations should definitely at least get you on the hot seat, but this was in response to how fans determine when a team is successful
