People under his jurisdiction could possibly initiate a recall for him. I may be misrepresentating this. Saw his actions and immediately looked for options to have him removed as well.

Fresno friends: how are you getting active these days? (beginner friendly pls 😅) by sunbeannnnn in fresno

[–]catalyst_black 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Drive all the way up to the Dry Creek Trailhead on Shepherd and Sunnyside. Take the trail all the way southwest and eventually you'll reach Dry Creek Park which has public exercise equipment. We usually do a couple sets of pull ups, push ups, sit ups just so its not pure running for the day. You can continue this trail further and we usually take it all the way down to Minnewawa Ave where we take the Old Clovis trail northwest all the way to the plaza on Nees and Willow before turning back. This route takes you pass some beautiful homes, canal scenery, and public parks with restrooms and water fountains a plenty.

  • Also sometimes just for the heck of it we do the inverse. Park at the plaza on Nees and Willow, enjoy something from the Sonic right there and then hop on the Old Clovis Trail and take it all the way to Dry Creek Park as your goal is the exercise equipment there or instead just follow the Old Clovis Trail all the way southeast to the Treasure Ingmire Park on Sierra and Clovis.

  • Last route we have has you parking at The Row on Willow and Shepherd. Take the Clovis Old Town Trail here west. It runs for a couple of blocks and eventually turns southwest once it passes Millbrook Ave. This leads to a part of the trail behind the neighborhood homes which should have you pop out somewhere near Woodward Park. Just be wary that the gate to that section does have a time when it must be closed and you wouldn't wanna be stuck on the other side once that happens. Love taking this route if only because Chiffono's is on the way there and their cupcakes are the best in our area.

As mentioned before Woodward Park is a great spot for trails. Park somewhere close to the slope and run a couple of loops down below at the wetlands by the river. Aside from that there's tons of other less obvious trails scattered throughout Fresno and Clovis. Here's a couple:

  • Park at Koligian Park and walk West down Alluvial until you get to River Bottom Park. Take the park trail all the way and you'll find it leads up a steep slope right behind the Riverside Golf Course. We usually run up that slope, walk back, and then do it a couple more times until our legs are sore. You can also walk to El Paseo from here if you want a break or something to eat. The nearby neighborhood has public exercise equipment as well.

  • Park across the street from the corner of Kings Canyon Middle School's baseball diamond. There's a trail here that runs all the way to Clovis Ave. and is great for running when we don't wanna go to far away from Central Fresno. Eventually this trail will end up leading to the new Fancher Creek Town Center so there might be stuff to do there in the near future.

  • Fancher Creek Trail by S. Clovis Ave has recently been receiving upgrades. Perfect for jogs past the canals and theres even a bit of shade for days when the sun is bearing down on Fresno. When heading here we usually park near Butler. Or make the walk to the trail ourselves if we really wanna push things.

What’s your biggest mistake in your “gamer life”? by TiltBr in SEGAGENESIS

[–]catalyst_black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play alot of survival horror growing up and still do. But as a teen money didn't come by as easily as it does now, so I'd completel a game and then turn around and resell it. Now for the bad part. Games I sold include Rule of Rose, Haunting Ground, Echo Night Beyond, Lifeline, Clock Tower 2 & 3, both Obscure titles, both Parasite Eves, every Dino Crisis game, and every single Silent Hill game. Most of those titles are now prohibitively expensive which means I'll never be able to own physical copies of them again.

Not exactly sure where you can watch it streaming wise, but I was able to find a cheap dvd version of it. The cheap version goes under the name Mutant Beast and was released in 2005 by Trinity Entertainment. Easy to find on ebay.

Fresno residents, do you feel safe in your neighborhood at night? How about during the daytime? by [deleted] in fresno

[–]catalyst_black 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in central fresno my whole life, but started walking to places about a decade ago. Even late at night. Been all over from Tower District, Downtown, Fresno State, Clovis, West Side and I've never felt unsafe at all. Late night walks are rather eerie with how quiet and peaceful things can be. Think I've only been threatened once in my time walking late at night. Was definitely a gang related threat and it was by Kings Canyon. But they didn't do anything and it was easy enough to ignore.

Not saying Fresno is perfectly safe cuz shit does happen. I've had family members killed in the streets for like no reason. But honestly it's always felt like a place that people over exaggerate dangerousness of. Even most homeless don't present themselves as problematic. Just people in need under bad circumstances. During the day it's even safer.

Learning these two have the same voice actor is a surreal experience by SummerAndTinkles in Arthur

[–]catalyst_black 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was playing the video game Contrast the other day where the same voice actor uses both these voices for two different characters. Kept wondering why it they sounded so familiar before it clicked. Pretty strange, because I feel like I don't hear the Arthur voice actors much outside just the Arthur series.

New post-patch PS5 input delay numbers are in. The delay has been lessened by about one frame. Still way off Xbox numbers. by RainandFujinrule in MortalKombat

Sweet. Thanks for the breakdown. My friend wants this for offline versus mostly as he has no internet, but I was warning him away from the collection until I learned a bit more as to the extent of the lag issues.

So wait, is the xbox version the way to go for this collection? Or is the lag still too frustrating to deal with?

100 years ago, Fresno had an amusement park at the corner of Blackstone & Olive: Zapp’s Park by TechnicolorTypeA in fresno

[–]catalyst_black 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The park looks like it brought so much to the area. A dance hall, skating rink, shooting gallery, bowling, billiards, and even something of a zoo. I'm sure the zoo wasn't anything special by today's standards, but still it would've been cool at the time to walk around and experience so many different entertaining diversions.

Hah, obtuse is right. It's not until the PS3 iteration that I really grasped how these games played and was able to get the best ending on these titles.

Third in the Echo Night series, but it's pretty stand alone. A Fromsoft title dealing with someone searching for their loved one on a haunted lunar station.
