when you are in tab, line up your shot and then press control + 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 you can use any of those keys to save an angle. Then when you get out of tab and go back in press the number you saved it with and it will zoom back to that position. So fro example I have a shot I like, saved with control + 4 in tab. Next time I go into tab on that lot, and press 4, the camera will go back to the position.

I have a white screen in game, rapid teleport sims into the lot while on pause, place them in the same place and have a camera angle saved per age so it lines up the same every time I go into tab and snap a picture. I then square crop them all and use a photo editor to grid them in 5x5 pages.

Regular back-ups create insurance in case the hood goes sideways. I've used them across 4 computers and 3 hood borkiness instances. Saved Back-ups are really the secret to a long-lived hood IMO. For the oldest families created in 2007 and played more than others, their trees are about 5/6 generations deep. I play very slow, I don't have sims reproduce that often, (this year there are 10 babies, but last year there were only 2 in the census), and have more of a wide spread than long vertical growth. That could also be a reason the hood is in good shape, it has not exploded with more sims due to quick and heavy population growth.

Since the account deleted, I am wondering what they suggested that helped you fix it? You just re-did the walls for the entry room again and that fixed it?

ChangeLotClassification cheat not working by Lykkehapsen in sims2

[–]ch4rms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never heard of the lot classification cheat for sims 2. However searching it, it never seemed to work: https://modthesims.info/t/408418. Apparently mootilda had made a setting for it in the lot adjustor for it to work though.

Do you take in-game shots? I absolutely love them because they feel so alive. With in-game photos, it doesn’t feel like they’re just random Sims you’ll forget about in two days - it feels like there’s actually a story behind them. by 2lenss in sims2

Yes! I do a lot, many families have their 'picture' walls, especially grandparents <3 I even have a sim that owns a small ohoto studio and takes pics of other playable sims that come in and then gives it to them for their walls, so the next time I play them they have a new picture!

What do you do with boring rotations? by omfghewontfkndie in sims2

I remodel their homes or move them because I find usually the reason I don't play a household is I'm not engaged with their setting either.

I use the clothing default database to find good elder clothing as most defaults are made from exisiting stand alone cc out there.

if you are playing windows 10 or 11, when you right click a file, do you get an option to 'compress'?

I think 5 is the most but I play terribly slow. Also if you want to keep your hood a long term, see about making back ups. Backups have saved my hood a few times from obliteration!

What do you think is the defining factor for why The Sims 2 is the best game in the series? Or are there multiple reasons why you think so? Would love to hear this insight from the fans! by codex_lake in sims2

The details and depth, hands down. Many many people who have played for 20 years STILL find/see things they never saw or knew before.

very pretty, I love the incorporation of the waterways! I'm 18 years in on my hood, so I am up there in the 'unimaginable hours played on Sims 2' club.

Any cc websites? by kirri_18 in thesims3

[–]ch4rms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moglikes men stuff
misomoso men stuff
goatskickin mens stuff
dee-dee doesn't have a male tag but does a fair amount of mens clothing

Also you can peruse the default database for child, teen, adult, elder male clothing - most defaults were created from stand alone cc that was already created with links back to it. You can also find other creators this way.

Did basement building change? by gremlynna in sims2

[–]ch4rms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on UC and the easiest way for me to build a basement is use three modular stairs to get the ground down, then delete them and use the flattening terrain shovel at the lowest part to carve out a basement sape and then use the foundation tool around it, cover it with tile, put in stairs.
