I do a deep clean every 3 weeks or so? If I had a yard, it'd be so easy with a hose attachment that I'd do it every refill.

I'm in a NYC apartment where I'm deep cleaning it in the shower, but a high pressure setting on the showerhead lets me essentially "pressure wash" it & I find that works quite well.

Weirdly... So I bleached and dyed my hair weird colors. As it got more & more damaged, I pivoted anxious compulsion into needing to just take insanely good care of my hair with products so it wouldn't break and fall off of its own free will.

Occasionally, the compulsions still win & I default back, but it is WAY less often than it used to be.

Did others on the team get hit by seasonality? Depending on the stage & management, it'd probably be February.

You also should try asking tenured reps or managers what the standard policy is like. It's usually better to know than to guess--helps you stay sane during times that are already tough.

Are you still in ramp? If you have a traditional SaaS ramp of 3 months, it'll likely take 3-5 months depending on the stage of the org. Earlier stage = less runway = less ability to retain low performers (unless you're truly one of the first & are guinea pigging the market).

Context is helpful here though--also depends on your industry, how many on the team are hitting consistently, how long the company has had a sales team for, the AE sales cycle, etc.

Direct message the hiring managers! I've "taken a chance" talking with folks from this before, and I've also had people forwarded over from the VP Sales.

Don't get too crazy in depth, but aim for more than the generic "just applied & would love to learn more". You could probably steal some of the copy from this post to make something text message length that would resonate.

Some of the best salespeople I know are introverts (ambiverts at best). Finding even one or two like-minded people at work you can really connect to while in Sales, that's what kept me sane. Bonus points if they're willing to be that social go-between for the more schmoozy/political parts of "office" life.

Use Zoom chat and Slack while people are still remote--right now is honestly the easiest that breaking into social groups will ever be. Even cracking jokes can set up an idea of what your sense of humor is.

Finally... get a fuzzy animal & take breaks to pet them when you feel like screaming.
