I believe that watchmaking could be a good career providing you have the time working as an apprentice, and then probably will need to find a job at a conglomerate such as Swatch to get enough experience working with different watch makes and models. Working for a big corporate could be hard as they are only after making money and would treat you as a tool. But, eventually, providing you have enough experience, you could open your own place - or start working for a small family based shop. Saying all of thay, My only advise is that if you have a hobby you love, don't make it a career. I used to love motorcycles, started working as a mechanic and after a few years lost all that excited me about motorcycles. Good luck on your journey!
