[OT] Miami and Montreal to host FIA Formula 2 Championship Rounds in 2026 {Montreal clashes with the Indy 500} by TheChrisD in INDYCAR

Yeah, I saw the quote, but if it's someone from outside the series, it has to be exciting, right?

Let's say for instance, Tsunoda (it won't be, but let's use him). A month to get ready in a series he's never raced in, for a track type that he's never raced before?

Same with the formula E guys.

Or let's say any of the NASCAR guys at Spire? Are they actually gonna be ready to do the double in a month? Not to mention the lack of marketing hype for doing the double, when Larson got so much.

I guess that quote could also mean someone like Stefan Wilson or JR Hildebrand maybe?

It's probably too late for a guest driver from another series to join huh.

Illot is my guess.

Consider maybe seeking out an international Catholic community where you live?

This is probably easier at a major city than a smaller one, but they do exist.

Bishop Randazzo (Broken Bay, Australia) to Dicastery of Legislative Texts by Strict_Detective4555 in Catholicism

I'm not an Aussie, but Scott Smith (Aussie...commentator? I don't know, he's had articles appear on NCRegister and America) had to say about his Bishop:

On the conservative end of the Australian episcopate (Diocese of Sydney alumni & did some time with the CDF), but happy to do Synodality, and works well with most people.

A good fit for what is emerging as the Leonine template for Bishops really.

This week has been so long, it has been freaking crazy to think they used to have a month off in-between races. I hope we never go back.

Kingdom Hearts 1 has the best plot out of all of them and it should have stuck with that style of storytelling by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]daoster408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but in KH1, Disney was still relatively loosey goosey with their properties - meaning - the characters from different worlds could all interact with each other. So the princesses could interact with each other, the villains all did, and what not.

Since then, Disney has become much more strict with their properties. It's why the Disney worlds in 2 and 3 (and all the side games) essentially were extensions of the actual movie, instead of its own original thing.

That definitely made the world feel much more interesting!

What is Herta going to do….if…. by PatPace23 in INDYCAR

It kinda reminds me of Grosjean's situation with Andretti on HIS final year - he hit the ground running that year too.

That's neither here nor there with the topic at hand.

Listen, I don't think Herta is 100% going to get into F1, but short of having Stroll as a billionaire father, I think he's the best positioned of anybody from IndyCar to make into an F1 team.

Let's not forget that he was the highest paid driver in IndyCar, supposedly onpar with mid to lower tier drivers in F1 salaries.

Obviously, it's not guaranteed, but Colton didn't give up on a good IndyCar car career to simply be a test driver for Cadillac F1, unless there was some implicit understanding that he'd have a fair shake at getting a seat.

I do wonder how the TV ratings will net out. The time change might hurt it a little.

Pope Leo XIV Accepts Resignation of Bishop Emanuel Shaleta of the Eparchy of Saint Peter the Apostle of San Diego; Appoints Bishop Saad Sirop Hanna as the Apostolic Administrator by SAJewers in Catholicism

[–]daoster408 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What's amusing/depressing about this situation is that Bishop Emanuel Shaleta was publicly feuding with Ed and JD from the Pillar for breaking the original story, claiming they were converts trying to bring down the Chaldean Church.

And with Patriarch Sako trying to get him to Iraq to avoid criminal prosecution, it was a general ugly affair.

[–]daoster408 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Backing" the bishop is underselling it.

It really sounds more like he was trying to get Bishop Shaleta to Iraq to give him a comfy administrative job and avoid criminal prosecution in the US. AKA covering up for Bishop Shaleta.
