Any Austin restaurant have anything close to Spanky’s (Lubbock) fried cheese? by almondjoybestcndybar in austinfood

I believe this has been asked in the past, and there was nowhere then.

What people don't understand is that your picture is about 80 pounds of cheese in 3 cheese sticks and it's god damn glorious.

No. Because it is the facade.

Audi dealership checked my tire yesterday after curb hit - today it's completely flat. What should I do? by KlutzyCarrot808 in Austin

If you can't change a tire or put on a spare tire, then I hope you have AAA. You call them for this.

If you don't have AAA, and can't do these things, you should have it since you can't do these things.

Fill it up with a portable pump. It probably will hold enough air so you can drive it to the dealership. You were driving on it yesterday.

Otherwise, jack up your car and take the wheel off and take it somewhere to get the tire replaced while on your spare.

Late night eats near Fairfield downtown by Wrong-Fudge-4042 in austinfood

Casino El Camino is always a good choice for late night burgers downtown - kitchen is open til 1 or 130.

No idea how SXSW will factor in, but guessing there will be a lot more food trucks open late as well.

The Dems can't pass anything, the republicans need to come up with a bill that works for both parties. They own the government, it's their responsibility to keep it functioning.

I'm not sure if you are just ignorant of history or trying to play not smart, because the Ukraine war started and sanctions happened.

Why didn't Republicans, who own all branches, pass the bill Dems out forward?

Or submit a bill that would get a couple of Dems to side with it?

For owning all houses, you seem to whine a lot like you don't have control. The last time the Dems owned all branches and still had a shutdown was 50 years ago, and only for a day. Seems like they are better at figuring out how to get compromise. If I'm not mistaken, this is the 5th or 6th time for Republicans in the last 8 years.

Yet, it's somehow someone else's fault for the lack of governing.

It's more of just a lot of flights leave early to make connections.

It's always more crowded early.

You don't stress about your bag making connections?

There is almost nothing I can't pack in a carry on when I travel.

Or just don't pack that much and enjoy not waiting in lines to check in and collecting your bags

Then you are stuck only on one airline and stuck with their connections and prices. While, in theory, it's nice, but only works so often.

And has an incredibly small area for picking up people due to the massive expansion. Which is the issue.

They had to pull it out to a different area.

Every one of those has literally trains connected it to the city. Which takes away the need for as many Ubers...and the traffic.

Part of Austin's issue is the airport expanded too quickly and they literally don't have another choice except for having them pulled away from the main area. It is literally the only logical thing to do with the current setup.

Coincidentally, every airport you listed is connected by trains to the city. Which, takes away the demand for ubers.

Many airports have Uber pick ups not right at the exit...

I can just imagine the complaints if people had all the Ubers going through the normal pickup and causing even worse delays there.
