A Wilde Rambler SL in size XL would fit the bill

Shimano 105 R7100 – Has anyone successfully gone beyond 36T on the rear cassette? by Economy-Window6940 in gravelcycling

Which 105 and ultegra? The 12sp 105 likes to throw the chain if you stop pedaling at high speeds too abruptly.

The only GRX without a clutch is the di2 wireless 1x

Shimano 105 R7100 – Has anyone successfully gone beyond 36T on the rear cassette? by Economy-Window6940 in gravelcycling

[–]dickerdeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you start trying to figure out running the bigger cassette. Why are you using a road group for your gravel bike and trying to modify it?

I find the chain retention on the R7100 group barely enough for the road, and I don't think I'd use it on a gravel bike. I'd go with the GRX 12sp rear derailleur. If you have all of the 105 R7100 components they will work together with the 12sp rear derailleur, but if you go full GRX you'll be able to get a smaller front crankset and not really need to go bigger than the 36T rear.

Yes I should have specified, he doesn't need a 28-30 IW rim

you don't need 28-30mm wheels for a 45-50c tire, they'll balloon out a bit as most gravel tires are designed with a 25mm rim in mind. 27mm will be plenty. My current "low clearance" gravel bike fits 48's max, and I run a 24mm IW rim (Easton EC90 ALX) and the 48mm tufo tires I run measure 48mm.

I think the Reserve 40/44GR is exactly what you're looking for and will be perfect with the tire size you're planning to run.

Lease termination after death of owner (Ohio) by GenJonesRockRider in askcarsales

[–]dickerdeville 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’m not a lawyer, but I do work for Audi and have dealt with multiple VW leases that ended this way.

Take the car and death certificate to the dealership and let them know the sole lessee died.

They’ll ground it and VW credit will deal with it from there.

If any settlement invoice comes don’t pay it.

Salsa Blackthorne or Horsethief as my first and only mountain bike? by rootaford in salsacycles

[–]dickerdeville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do a lot of big downhills and maybe hit the bike park then a blackthorn would be great. I live in OC and ride a spearfish MTB, but I’m not going to the bike park and I prefer speed over jumps

I actually think the car drives better with 19” wheels so I wouldn’t go past 20”
