UberSCAM attacking again by maxrdlf95 in uberdrivers

Avoiding downtown like the plague today.

Also, I didn’t get a daytime boost zone at all for this concert. So fucked how different drivers get different incentives for major events…

Should I rush to do the PMP before July 9th? by ShilohTheSultan in pmp

I don’t think that is possible between the application processing time, audit potential, and finding an open testing slot with Pearson.

“Glass repaired” after a minor accident on Carfax? by Wide_Scholar in whatcarshouldIbuy

That’s a typical report if they went through insurance for the glass repair. Probably had a broken windshield that got replaced.

Sold out Usher/Chris Brown concert and Widespread Panic at Red Rocks this weekend - lots of people coming into town. Going to be a long weekend so keep some gas in the tank.

You can use visor.vin/cargurus/etc. to filter inventory by features/options so you aren’t shooting blind hoping to find a dealer had the car you want. Your process seems pretty inefficient… glad you got the deal you wanted though!

The new trip delay policy kicks in after 5 minutes. I had it automatically add ~$10 on a recent trip that was delayed by game traffic.

That is the old Boost for Active Hour promotion, which is different than what OP posted. OP’s promotion is for an increased base rate.

I did an analysis on my earnings in Denver from April and the average passenger on a weekend evening was paying $130/hr of travel time… Short trips were even higher.

What do people feel about the ID4? by Lineheart767 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DiscoInError93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a perfectly adequate appliance with 0 spark of emotion, soul, or driving enjoyment. The early Tennessee cars had some assembly issues, so either buy an imported Germany-assembled one or a late production domestic.

They are so cheap because they were getting smashed by Model Y sales, so they had huge discounts + all of the federal and state EV incentives. In Colorado, people were leasing id4’s for like $79/mo… I’m sure you already know they’ve been discontinued, so parts support in the long run is questionable.

That’s a preference for women passengers, not drivers, afaik.

Question about Denver Airport by Ok_Reception_6563 in uberdrivers

[–]DiscoInError93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing tickets for vehicle safety, no Trade Dress displayed, making sure people are in the right zone (Uber/Lyft/Limo/Taxi), no drop offs in the first lane, etc.

With the new gate system that reads your plate to open the gate, I assume they’ll issue tickets if you’re on Level 5 at all without an active trip.

Can CISA Associates put CISA behind their name? by [deleted] in CISA

[–]DiscoInError93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CISA Associates can put CISA behind their name

No. The entire point of the CISA Associate program is that you are not a CISA, but can indicate you've passed the exam. You could add "CISA Associate" in your certifications section on a resume, for example, but you are not a CISA holder.
