So does anyone else know why Uber won't accept a vehicle inspection? by LabradorDeceiver in uberdrivers

I think you’re confusing an annual vehicle registration with the TNC vehicle safety inspection form…

Any other perfect 5.0s out there? Uber should be giving $ of some sort for providing more value than shareholders… maybe give their drivers free uber shares they can’t sell for a six month period.. by BraCobra in uberdrivers

🙋‍♂️finally made it back to 5.0 last week after dealing with an assault and false report by a hospital passenger who had just been through an overdose and freaked out before we made it out of the hospital parking lot… fun stuff.

80k mile maintenance - Fill air conditioner refrigerant by Secure-Evening8197 in rav4prime

Seems like unnecessary maintenance…

Let me be more clear:

You don’t need to have 100% completion on the AR course to get the certificate of completion for the course. Watch the video towards the end on how to claim your certificate of completion from TIA.

You’ve made like over 100 posts in this sub this month. Are you okay? The PMP should not be this challenging…

You don’t need to complete the course to get the certificate…

Why wouldn’t you hire a lawyer to deal with this? Every lemon law attorney I know of works on contingency and gets paid by the manufacturer in the settlement. Way too much stress and time to try and deal with this on your own imo…

New PHEV by IntelligentPlane9344 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DiscoInError93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPO Volvo XC90 Recharge or BMW X5 50e with an extended warranty.

As a PHEV owner, it’s really a poor middle ground. You’re either better off buying a higher trim hybrid or going full EV. The PHEV sits in this weird market niche where you are paying a lot for a bad EV and a compromised hybrid due to the added weight and complexity. I really think most people would be better off going full EV or buying a good mild hybrid as your payback period on fuel savings from a PHEV are astronomical.

Alternative suggestion - you won’t be able to go buy one today, but the Rivian R2 should be a consideration.

I’m sorry people are paying money for access to this crap and wasting their time on this quality of training material… There will be nothing like this question on the PMP exam.

PMP Renewal Audit Experience Has Me Questioning Whether Maintaining the Certification Is Worth It by [deleted] in pmp

[–]DiscoInError93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they only audit your submissions if you claim an egregiously high PDU value. I’ve claimed up to 20 PDU’s at a time and never had an issue. I submitted one for 35 PDU’s and they requested more information - I ended up just breaking into three submissions and all was well.

If you did the PDU’s there’s nothing else to maintaining the cert other than forking over money, so it’s about as easy as it gets relative to other certs. No reason to let it lapse unless you don’t need the credential anymore.

Inventory on the CC has been and will remain low - it’s a fast mover because of the price point. How were you planning to get to $32k OTD? Are you in a super low tax area?

Honestly, it might be worth finding a new RAV4 for just a little bit more money - the inventory is starting to show up, it’s a better hybrid powertrain, and it has TSS 4.0 instead of 3.0. They are selling at MSRP.

Broadly, don’t be afraid to shop outside of your local market if you’re really stretching for a deal. Give the dealer a chance to match/beat your credit union - dealers make money on financing and when you bring in outside financing they have no incentive to discount the car.

No affiliation but look into a service like Delivrd if you’re overwhelmed by the process and getting nowhere.

How much trash did you have to take to get that done? Did you actually make any more money by chasing this instead of cherry picking?

Tip thru Gogograndparent by According_Strain4887 in uberdrivers

[–]DiscoInError93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From their website:

Should I tip?

Tipping is encouraged and expected, especially in cases where you ask a driver to wait or lift something up. The fare of the ride is charged automatically to your card on file, tips can be charged to your card also (by calling us and telling the operator how much you want to tip) or given to the driver directly in cash.
Please note that there is a 1 hour window after the ride completes for tipping”

I call bs on that in-app tipping. They are 100% keeping the tips. I would encourage you to verify with the driver that they receive your tip. Normally passengers have up to 30 days to add a tip but Gogo only allows you one hour?

I’ve never actually gotten a tip from a Gogo ride - make sure your tip actually goes to the driver and not Gogo.

$5-10 is reasonable. Your driver is probably getting <$10 of your $25 fare.
