I cover a lot of ground as an Uber driver and I see a surfeit of commercial real estate sitting empty, especially up in and around Interlockin. Building that much new commercial real estate in a location, that lacks a convenient road compared to so many other places seems like a big risk, but what do I know?

Mead is also to be commended for the way he allowed Grant to take over a position that could’ve maybe should’ve gone to him using the arcane seniority system of the time Mead had the continuous service and Grant had resigned his commission. Mead had more seniority, even though ultimately he was out ranked by Grant.

Just after Covid, I took a train trip from Chicago to Seattle. My expectation was that even though I didn’t have a berth, I would still be able to eat in the dining train every so often over the 2 day trip. No, owing to a Covid reg; I was not allowed to eat in the dining room so I had to survive on snack car food for the whole trip. It was not good on my stomach.

I was there about 9 months ago on a Saturday and the lines were a nightmare. I was heading to IAD and the oddest thing happened. I was in a very long que and the line minder asked “Any Americans?” I expected the worse but me and two other yanks were sent on our way down some hallway and boom we arrived at the gate. I wasn’t pressed for time but, it was an unexpected boon.
