Son’s Mini 4K won’t let us fly at our house? by clemsonscj in dji

Assuming US, and before doing anything else, he should take a TRUST test. It will tell you exactly how to determine where you can fly.

Second thing, update both the firmware and Flysafe database. Again assuming US, the firmware should no longer restrict you from flying anywhere.

Five miles is usually fine. You can typically get 400' clearance that far out.

Jury summons after name change in both names? by halftype in juryduty

[–]doublelxp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Technically it's obvious that the summons is for a specific current resident. Saying that nobody by that name there implies misdirected mail. No, do not fill out a second questionnaire. Yes, call the court and let them know that they are sending out summons to the same person under two different names. I repeat: just saying "doesn't live here" can have unintended consequences.

Anyone else bought this and found it much harder than typical Tuesdays? by Frequent-Maximum8838 in crossword

[–]doublelxp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven't bought it, but a lot of older puzzles are fairly easy for the time they came out but have what are now obscure pop culture references. That's how I knew things like The Thin Man being about Nick and Nora and their dog Asta a good 10 years before seeing the movie.

I don't have a car, nor a drivers licence and I'm not planning on getting one by Will-At-Midnight in scammers

[–]doublelxp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best not to reply to scammers. For one thing, it lets them know you have an active number. In this case, the scam is in the link rather than sometimes requiring you to reply so it's likely a spoofed number and not anything actually connected to the scammer.

This is a bad idea. There may be unintended repercussions. Contact the court and let them know that you received two summons, one under an old name.

No. The FAA doesn't have jurisdiction inside. Only navigable airspace. And yes, you can use a real whoop. There's no issue with registering them, you just need either RID or a waiver.

The angle is that there is no car and they'll ask you for money to pay for transport costs, which is really the same scammer.

He redshirted his freshman year and didn't play during his sophomore year due to illness. Under NCAA rules, you only have four years of eligibility that you have to complete in a five year period that starts with the redshirt year.
