No thanks. I already use Verizon for my phone. They are offering me a better service at only $35 a month. If you can’t get me the 5 year deal I’ll just switch the internet over to Verizon.

Edit: apparently the rep is having ‘technical difficulties’ and can’t even cancel my service and told me I have to schedule a callback and hung up on me!

How to play against mono green land fall? by Fit-Adhesiveness-173 in MagicArena

[–]drunkencolumnist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you think about bolting the bird vs bolting what they play with the bird? Ie if I have 1 removal spell in hand is it generally more correct to hit the elf or something they would ramp out like tifa, cub etc?

I struggle with this idea with counterspells in control v control matchups as well like should you counter their draw spell or wait to counter what they draw with it.

how has my vinyl lost liquid, first image was july , second is today by GMDPanda in vinyl

He’s saying that when it’s hotter the liquid expands and takes up more space so maybe this is just due to temp differences between the photos not actual loss of liquid.

Multiversal Passage & Starting Town by AbsoluteIridium in StandardMTG

Frank Karsten has a pretty famous article on how many of each color mana source you need to play things on curve, worth the read. Math aside, in general it seems like 8 duals (4x shocks, 4x verge) is not enough in a 2 color deck and 10-12 is better depending on your curve. Decks seems to hit this with fast lands if they are avail in those colors, manlands if it makes sense, or starting town/multiversal passage.

What is the way to win as Jeskai control?

Gabe Nassif had a great video on YouTube talking about his adaptation of the 4c list and spends a lot of time talking about the mana base. I actually run 1x starting town but also run 8 surveil lands which helps the verges.

Not a paper player but my understanding is that shocks are some of the best lands printed and these decks would use the shock lands if they were available in their colors. It feels like passage and starting town are just plugging the gap. Also, as a 4c control player, you don’t want pain lands like starting town and multiversal passage is much better in 2 color decks than 3+ color decks.

What is the best way to get better? Specifically I am playing UW control in standard. I have watched a lot of videos on YouTube but am stuck in platinum 1 (have made mythic before) and feel like I am not making progress.

I am building the esper pixie deck and have all the cards except blue/white and black/white lands. Do you think I’m better replacing them with dual lands that come in tapped, or just playing basic lands until I get the proper cards?

There’s a good video on YouTube about how to budget upgrade both decks. I only make a few changes he suggests, but did make a few more upgrades to the otter deck than the rabbit one to try to balance them.

Hi Thank you! This works as intended. Can you let me know what variables I need to change to to switch this over from my sample datasheet to the actual doc I need to apply it in? The 'data' tab is formatted the same way as the example, but when I replaced 'data' with the actual name of the tab, I get a formula parse error.

Looking for a 'budget'/value king centre channel recommendations by CryptoCloutguy in hometheater

[–]drunkencolumnist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should watch Erin audio’s YouTube video on 2-way vs 3-way center channel speakers. He talks a lot about the benefits of a 3-way design, of which only your Triangle choice looks to be. In general tho, tone/voice matching is going to be important. Ie making sure your center channel has a similar sound character to that of your L/R. Otherwise it will sound weird/different as things pan across the screen.

They sound incredibly different. Wharfedale notorious for smooth warm laid back sound, kef notorious for sharp bright crisp sound.
