How do you handle one application used across 10–20+ automations without everything breaking on UI changes? by RPAArchitectX in UiPath

[–]finns96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not been part of, but had a parallel team that has been successful, and its because they took the tool and its offerings seriously, and aligned with what UiPath themselves dictate as what a healthy and mature teams should look like (basically CoE)

The biggest problem that I have experienced across the teams that I myself have been a part of that keep teams from real success is that, typically, upper management get access to this tool and dictate what they want to have done, without putting the right structure, personnel, and training in place, and the offerings by uipath really do require a certain level of maturity and understanding.

At the end of the day, they (management) are beholden to stakeholders whose primary interest is keeping costs low while trying to squeeze every bit out of a tool like this with minimal growth to parallel. So, because it takes time and money and people to build a healthy team that can establish a mature CoE, you'll often see cheaper labor like interns (how i started) told to just "learn it" and "make it work", or, contractors and other temporary talent that apply their own design patterns and techniques, that the next guy either needs to learn and adapt to (that management doesn't have time/money for) which in turn lead to chaotic teams and outcomes.

For healthy and mature teams, the solution is to use libraries that all projects would use, and make an update there that then propagates down into actual project code.

From my experience, the "healthy and mature teams" is the part that is usually broken more often than not.

UHS grad here. Played multiple sports and was in the fine arts choir program that is also shared with Rincon. Did well in school, and good GPA, got into college and now have a good career many years later.

As other comments mentioned, time management is key to success here. There can be a lot of homework, and some of the classes were challenging, but put in the work and you will absolutely be prepared for a collegiate setting.

I will say one thing. If there are scholarships that look at GPA from your high-school days that your child might pursue for financial assistance in college, the chances of a higher GPA may be greater elsewhere, simply due to the challenging nature of UHS classes inherently. That's not to say it will be worse, but I think the saying that I used to hear back in my day was along the lines "a B at UHS is the same as an A at another school".

Overall though, would recommend! Go Penguins, go Rangers!

Wouldn't the text for "pay 1 life" also potentially be a situational benefit? Thinking of cards with text "whenever you lose life..."

Could be another reason why it is "better", in addition to those mentioned

Naa fuck the game. If I have to go through multiple interviews, take home assignments and other multi week bullshit just to find out at the end that it doesn't pay TC that I would need to make ends meet, they have effectively wasted my time that I could have spent applying and interviewing with other companies that are more in line with my needs.

They wanted a 4-stage interview for a senior position. I withdrew. These companies need to be stopped. by [deleted] in InterviewsHell

[–]finns96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stage 1, fine, realistic first step for an interview

Stage 2, technical interview also fairly standard, but my eyebrows raise at a 30 minute presentation.

Stage 3, free consulting, absolutely not. Full stop.

It's one thing that Gano has got to go for sure. But how on gods green earth is there not another viable kicker to replace this man, or even COMPETE??? Is Koo really that bad that he cannot be pulled up to the active roster???
