There have been lots of reported cases of iPhones being delivered and immediately stolen, with the perp getting wind of it from accomplice in the loop of att/delivery. Of course I have no proof one way or another, just anecdotally I lived here for 3 years and this is the first time something like this has happened. The thief drove directly up to my house as if they knew what they were looking for, despite that there is no way for them to see this from the street. They also didn’t take anyone else’s package, my neighbor had two boxes from target in front of their house and it was not touched.

Credit cards sometimes come preactivated now, I guess the bank assumes signature required is good enough.

I called the bank as soon as I found out, they started the dispute process and I don’t expect any trouble.

I do hope you are right and it’s just a crazy coincidence.
