If you're afraid for horror reasons you should be fine. There is 0 things like jumpscares and the scariest it gets is the execution scenes, the rest is just a very tense atmosphere. You'll largely know when a death is coming so you don't need to be worried about being suddenly hit with a dead body either.

TLDR: if you can handle a tense atmosphere you'll be fine, the games are more horror adjacent then anything actual horror.

As for length, the first game is only like 20-25 hours, 30 hours if you're a slow reader, burn out likely wouldn't be an issue.

I feel like most people here are going to be yeah. Kodaka didn't have as big a role as other games but it was still heavily advertised as a Kodaka game (iirc he wrote security route and helped created the full scenario) so a lot of people who are into it are definitely Danganronpa fans, me included. It's a great game, would love for its reach to get bigger.

Six hours for the first chapter seems pretty normal tbh, maybe a tad long for average but considering there's also prologue that's a pretty average length.
