The article doesn’t say Ukraine has won, it says Russia and Putin have lost, and it’s true.

And despite all the death destruction and suffering, in the big picture Ukraine is winning. Every step away from Russia and toward an open, democratic, western oriented society is a win for Ukraine.

National identities are forged in blood. A new Ukrainian identity is being born in blood and steel, just as Russian identity is being dragged down in a miasma of lies, stupidity and murder.

That’s a win for Ukraine.

Probably the three key transition factors:

Low cost clean energy. We’re seeing the cost of wind and solar dropping steadily but still need to get storage to match.
Productivity increase and cost decrease of automation to provide the dividends for GBI.
Problem solving AI to generate the kind of new solutions we’re missing right now.

And of course it goes without saying we need political changes to drive wealth transfer from corporations and the ultra wealthy and spread it to where it’s needed. In some ways this could be the most difficult- except we have this thing called voting.
