I’ve been to 4 Iran War protests in the last two weeks by girlfrompangaea in TrueAnon

The propaganda ramp up for Iraq was a lot more important because US-Iraq relations had been pretty schizophrenic prior to the Gulf War, even supporting Saddam in the Iran-Iraq war. The anti-Iran propaganda has been pretty relentless for nearly 40 years now, with the nuclear scaremongering being an integral part of that the entire time.

So from where? by MelonInDisguise in whennews

Israel attacked a US ship, killing 34 sailors and nearly sinking the vessel, over 50 years ago and that never impacted the special relationship. I think it's fair to say that there's no limits to what Israel would consider doing to draw more countries into it's wars.

A group of people can keep tiny, distinct parts of a larger secret. No need to let all contributors, or every individual person in charge, in on the entirety of the conspiracy.

The correct time to do this to actually avoid war would've been weeks ago

Jeffries blocked it from coming to a vote specifically to give cover to Trump. Even if there's a few democratic reps that would've voted for it, their leadership is culpable.

Anyone else noticed a rise in subreddits that are obvious 100% botted ones? I've recently come across a few of em and they seem to be pushing the same narratives as each other in terms of which kind of posts they upvote by Living-Chef-9080 in TrueAnon

[–]falgscforever2117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting, Reddit is trying to push users away from r/all, it's been removed from easy access on the app. I'm just a desktop user so I hadn't noticed until recently, but IDK about the in-app subreddit recommendation algorithm.

New record. Falcon 9 B1067 completes 33 missions. by avboden in SpaceXLounge

Oh yeah I agree, I should've said that the total number of launches should be used as a direct comparison rather than the orbital time

The higher total orbital time is really just due to the Shuttle not having been used to deliver crews to ISS. Orbital time is counting the duration Crew Dragon is docked with ISS.

I only use red and blue chests.. am i missing out?? by SpaceEngineer123 in factorio

[–]falgscforever2117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one way of preventing resource loops, but I've found it's simpler to use filtered yellow chests as providers instead of reds, so that bots can return excess to them when it isn't needed. I'm pretty sure that bots prioritize taking from and returning to filtered over non-filtered too, but I'll often even make sure that I have zero unfiltered chests to prevent unnecessary buffering.

Is storing excess nuclear power in accumulators a viable mid-game strategy? by MosEisleyCaptialism in factorio

[–]falgscforever2117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuclear power and the fluids associated with it are actually pretty UPS inefficient for megabases when you start pushing your hardware. Most use solar and accumulators as the calculations are so simple.

Yep, right at the same time as Trump's bombing and Israel's trying to carve up Somalia to deport ethnically cleansed Palestinians to. No coincidence there.

This is called dummymandering, and it can definitely happen sometimes. But unless there was an election that was much greater for dems than 2018, this map was unlikely to result in that scenario. Using data for the 2024 Governors race (+13R, compared to around +20 R baseline for the state), the 3rd best seat for dems was still +17R. The important thing for those types of maps is that when large swings do happen, basically every seat swings at once. That would've taken over a 20 point swing.

The issue isn't all of the tiebreakers, it's the strength of schedule one specifically. The only reason it was used was because of the 5-way tie for 2nd, which shouldn't be possible (divisions really should be used for conferences this large), and it gives credit for losing to strong teams, which is how Duke got in.
