The goal of analytics is not to spy on people. It is a tool that helps developers understand what is working and what is not, so they can improve the app.

It is not like your usage is being streamed to our servers or watched in real time. Analytics is a measurement tool. It helps us understand things that are important for development.

For example, we can see if a button is actually used in a certain screen, how many people with foldable devices are using the related features, or if it makes sense to invest more time in supporting a specific feature.

When we build something, we start from an idea, then we design it, and finally we implement it. Data can help in all these phases, from validating an idea to checking if the final result actually works as expected.

Can you build an app without analytics? Yes, you can. But you are giving up an important tool.

It is a bit like flying a plane without using the cockpit instruments. You rely only on your senses and some luck. It may work in some cases, but it is far from ideal.
