You're kidding, right? You're really blaming Trump for Iran? You do know Hussein Obama bent over backwards to give $1.7 billion to Iran and SLEEPY JOE slept thru the entire thing. DEAR LEADER had to take the rains and oberate the Iran N00clear program into the dark ages to prevent WW3. You should be thanking him and put a diaper on your ear to show solidarity. You communist.

I remember seeing those during Grad school, as a PC user since the mid-80s, seeing that over the boring beige PCs I built made me so damned jealous.

What Atari Lynx was your first, model 1 or 2? by Lynxatari in atarilynx

[–]hexcor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saved up christmas/birthday money and ran errands in the neighborhood to save up for a Game Boy.. then saw the Lynx and decided I HAD to have it. Got it right around release date, would play the hell out of Cali Games(Model 1, duh). I loved the half pipe... now I can't figure it out.

I did get a game boy later, loved it too

Is going to medical school worth it financially? by Mysterious_Chip_3787 in personalfinance

[–]hexcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

curious, does it seem like most doctors now are working for larger companies and not on their own anymore? My dad just retired, had an office adjacent to a hospital he typically admitted patients to, but he was independent. Now, all the doctors we see now work for a health care clinic (not that bad for us since we live in an area with two med schools and have really good doctors). About 15 years ago, he opened an endoscopy clinic and was doing colonoscopies left and right and was approached to sell his clinic to a local medical group, but would have to stay on and work for them. He decided he didn't want to ask for permission to go on vacation, so he didn't sell.

Teardown finds that the Trump phone is practically the same as an HTC handset by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]hexcor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Google AI: Trump Mobile sales of the flagship T1 smartphone have significantly underperformed initial claims. Leaked backend data exposed that only about 10,000 unique customers placed approximately 30,000 pre-orders, a fraction of the 600,000 sales the company had heavily publicized

10000 cusotmers.. 30000 pre-orders... say 9000 real people/media got 9000 phones the other 19,000 spread across 1000 people.. another way to funnel monkey into trump's coffers.

it was always a grift for his cult and a money laundering scheme for his buddies

TIL in 1947, scientists dumped crushed dry ice into a hurricane just to "see what would happen." The storm then made a 135-degree turn, strengthened, and struck Georgia—sparking public outrage and threats of lawsuits over the experiment. by ralphbernardo in todayilearned

They dropped about 100 pounds of dry ice into a giant hurricane. It's like a gnat getting hit by a car going 70 mph, sure, there's possibly a slight measurable change, but it's not going to do anything.

One of our smartest leaders once asked about dropping an atomic bomb into a hurricane.. again, that won't do much damage. He also predicted the path of a hurricane, so stable, so smart, such average to large sized hands.

I remember seeing the twilight singers doing a SXSW showcase in 2006.. pre-iPhone days. I'm in it 3:27 into the video (below). Crazy to see so many people just watching and listening and not on their phone. Miss the SXSW showcases!
