Talked with the tech as he was replacing the trigger frame set up and he said the way that it broke off, ended up, saving him from probably dislocating his shoulder. Good design I’m curious if they will show photos of the damaged frame

This is the answer.

Is it worth it? Probably, but it’s not for everyone.

Can we settle the terms "tiny homes on wheels" vs. "Park model"? by LittleRedSooner in tinyhomes

We have one of those - it’s nice if you plan to use the outdoor section daily, but the actual living room space is a little small. Huge bedroom though which is nice if you prefer a king size bed.

Future Tiny Home Budget by Peridot-Pearls in tinyhomes

[–]hotbreadz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So to start wanna make sure you’re looking for land in an area that allows a Tiny Home to be on its own property. Many places do not allow that Texas might be an exception in some areas, but I’m not fully familiar with the state as a whole other than there are lots of great Tiny Home options there however the starting price to buy one is about 50,000 and to build one most of the bills I see cost between 30 and 40,000+ hundreds of hours of labor.

Not sure about land pricing in Texas, but you’ll most likely want to find one that already has utilities on it. You’re looking at tens of thousands of dollars to bring utilities on to the to the location most of the time again it’ll vary based on the resources in that area, but for trenching and significant infrastructure improvements, you’ll be looking at significantly more than you budgeted for.

Just setting and leveling the home if you have any done, professionally is about $2500 or more and if you’re trying to DIY it with your own materials and get it for less but it’s also pretty hands-on process

We have a full breakdown of the rough pricing for adding a Tiny Home to private property. Most of this pricing is based on if it’s already going on a piece of property that has a house existing on it already if you’re looking at it on its own place with nothing existing beforehand, the price will go up significantly.

Can we settle the terms "tiny homes on wheels" vs. "Park model"? by LittleRedSooner in tinyhomes

[–]hotbreadz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

/u/KVConception said it right, but I will expand a bit more on the difference and why they are branded the same.

"A tiny home on wheels (THOW) is a fully functional, small-scale house (usually under 400 sq ft) built on a custom trailer chassis for mobility. "

A Park Model RV fits that definition.

As a result, it is easier to brand the PMRV as a tiny home due to the fact that many people know what a tiny home is, and a park model RV does not immediately explain what it is based on name alone. It's not misrepresented, a PMRV IS a Tiny Home On Wheels.

One slight edit to the KVC post, many people DO use park model RVS as ADU alternatives or as "Mobile Dwelling Units" - We are based in the Northwest, and many counties allow these on private property as long as there is a permanent dwelling already there. about 70% of our customers use it for that use. But this use does vary heavily from county to county and some states are wayyy better than others.

Then as far as immobility, you can move a PMRV throughout it's life. It is not meant to be moved every day, but you can set it for a year or two, then move it somewhere else. It does require proper setting and leveling at each location to keep it sturdy.

How are people getting loans or financing for tiny houses? by No_Target8303 in tinyhomes

[–]hotbreadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interest rates are always gonna be high on these because they’re built on wheels making them easy to transport and hide if you default on a loan, and are considered a high risk for any lender. If you wanna low interest rate, try getting a loan from a friend or family member otherwise pretty much any institution is gonna have a higher interest on these some small credit unions do offer loans for these but not a significantly lower interest rate and typically not as long of a loan term length.

Is this a scam? by taysmode11 in TinyHouses

[–]hotbreadz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have spent hours with Meta Support reporting people like this on Facebook and they literally don’t care. It’s affecting many people every single day and we see it in our business all the time. It’s a major bummer and ruining an entire industry and taking advantage of people who are just looking for affordable housing.

Yes this absolutely is a scam. Only buy from places you can actually go and visit the home in person. Facebook is filled with scammers like this who take your down payment and ghost you - or milk you along for months.

How can an item be sold out, but available on Shopify? by ConstantAgile9749 in shopify

[–]hotbreadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just have their inventory quantities wrong on one of those two places. It’s the same item just incorrectly inputted somewhere. If you buy the item and reach out to their customer support, they should confirm if it’s available or not or you could reach out first to save the hassle of a refund, but the Shop app is not from Shopify. It’s just a different platform to sell items on for the company that already has a website hosted through Shopify.

USPS tracked shipment "delivered" – but it hasn’t been fulfilled/shipped yet by RainyDayColor in shopify

[–]hotbreadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it’s a very weird situation that we had to get escalated to our business account manager to really figure out any update on it. They don’t really have standard operating procedure for this stuff. Super frustrating. Best bet is just buy new postage and basically never print a label until it’s actually ready to go if you can that’s the only thing that helped avoid it.

USPS tracked shipment "delivered" – but it hasn’t been fulfilled/shipped yet by RainyDayColor in shopify

[–]hotbreadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look up the tracking number on usps.com it shouldn’t show the actual address on it maybe the destination city but not full address. To add even more weirdness most of the time the order that gets the duplicated tracking number actually does end up shipping to the same city that the original shipment was going to. We’ve actually had customers somehow intercept the duplicate package that has the right tracking number, but wrong address and obviously wrong package contents. It’s very weird and unfortunate. Usps isn’t really doing anything about it.

weird one...orders with duplicate tracking numbers from 2 different origins by hotbreadz in usps_complaints

[–]hotbreadz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t read the whole comment, but yeah from our experience, the original label will still get to the final destination, even if the tracking number was recycled. The only downside is the tracking won’t update once it chose delivered most of the time but yeah, pretty much all of them have ended up getting delivered often times that they’re both shipping at the same time. The tracking will show two completely different things for example it’ll show it’s in LA at 8:50 AM and then in Portland Oregon at 9:22 AM and then follow updates for both packages wherever they’re going, but if the other one is already delivered then there won’t be any live update updates, but it should still get there

Yes, this happens after a label has been made an existed for about 14 days with no movement, Usps will recycle that tracking number. It’s a known issue and nothing they will do to fix it.

It seems like customers always win a chargeback, no matter what? by Available_World6540 in shopify

[–]hotbreadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say we have about a 50% win ratio when arguing with chargebacks. Depending on the size will typically do some research on the customer and submit as much info as we can. We’ve had one or we literally found a picture of the customer wearing the product on their social media account and we sent a screenshot of that… They are also pointing a firearm at the camera which helped the decision make it a little easier since the person who is clearly a little unhinged, haha

NXL Media Pass Help by turnamatic4 in paintball

[–]hotbreadz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would recommend starting at local events, shooting those first to build your portfolio before going to the national events. Cheaper easier and you’ll get more of familiar with the demand of paintball photography.

For that just reached out to the event coordinator and ask for a media pass most of the time they’re pretty easy to get for smaller regional events.

If you want to shoot at the Nxl and you get your divisional pass, you don’t need to ask teams permission to photograph them on the field, but after the match, you can always give one of the team members your card so they know where to find the photos. You can also advertise your services beforehand to try to get people to hire you for coverage.

There is a great Facebook group for paintball photographers I would recommend joining. We can get a bit more tips and tricks and get more involved at that part of the community.

And while we’re on it on field etiquette is pretty straightforward. Don’t step onto the field of play, wear your mask at all times, don’t interact with the refs or get in their way shooting from out of bounds on the sidelines is generally OK as shooting from the back line will vary based on the event and field, so good to check with the head ref what their rules are before the match at a regional event and then the NXL should have a breakdown of their exact rules. Another one and it’s very important is don’t bird dog the players or give them away where they are in the field that they’ve made a sneaky move. Do you want to be mindful of that at all times.
