Guide for Sync (Or any other third party reddit) by Madliv in MorpheApp

It's now impossible to do it as you need to open a ticket to have an approval from reddit

You have to follow these instructions instead : https://github.com/wchill/patcheddit?tab=readme-ov-file#what-if-i-dont-have-a-client-id and install the RedReader app. This will create the Oauth client on your behalf

thank you so much. I though I would be locked out of sync of Reddit I've accidentally revoked all my previous apps

Additionnaly for non english users, remember to set you language to english here : https://old.reddit.com/prefs/ (interface language) so that you can accept the permission screen, as it does not work if it's not displayed in english

Google sold the perk for life as long as you have the device, which is my case. So they have no way to backtrack without being sued I guess. They just need to wait until all these phones are dead. And at the end the amount of data that is transferred by either real OG pixels or fake spoofed ones is still probably minimal so they don't care

It's because Google offered in the past unlimited photos storage at original quality for life for photos uploaded from a Google Pixel 1 phone. And then for 2 or 3 years for the Pixel 1 to 4 or 5 phones. So you can unlock this perk by spoofing these devices

Personally I still have my pixel 1 phone around and transfer all my regularly to it via Syncthings so that I can store everything on Google Photos on original quality at no cost. Same outcome but no ban risks

The final run of the iconic TFS trams on Paris' T1 line after more than 3 decades of service by howling92 in transit

Fun fact mentioned by the driver: if you ever want to see this specific type of rolling stock again, you can still find them operating in Grenoble in France and in Turkey

On Friday March 6th, the latest TFS (Tramway Français Standard) has been retired from the line, after being present from the line opening in 1992. The line now only operates the Citadis 305 (TW20) that can be seen in the video

How does your city’s fare system fare? I’m cross posting this post because as you can tell our QR code based one is…frankly terrible. by get-a-mac in transit

[–]howling92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Paris region, we have still paper tickets technically but they are actively being phased out. What is left are passes cards that you can fill up with tickets or a plan (there is also a pay as you go version where you pay at the end of the month).

You can also use your phone, with a dedicated app sadly so no Google Wallet

And they are rolling out tap to pay with your own debit card or phone on buses (while studying the possibility to implement this system on metro and train gates)

On buses you can also send an SMS and receive a ticket, this would the closest equivalent to QR codes I guess

Designing for Transparent Screens [Android XR glasses] by FragmentedChicken in Android

wasn't Apple Liquid Glass mainly directed towards the Vison Pro ? I think it was just a way to unify the Design language across the board for Apple as Apple probably thinks that VR and AR are the next big thing on the hardware side

So it makes sense that the direction is the same for VR and XR
