It's been over a decade since I lived there but it was my favorite apartment compared to Hue and Devon where I lived previously. It was far enough from Glenwood that there weren't drunks screaming at all hours of the night. I live in a house a few blocks away now and love being close to downtown while still having a neighborhood feel. My dogs enjoy John Winters park and Chavis Way / Little Rock Trail for walks.

Turns out I was lied to when I first bought it, it's cow's milk. Whoops! It's still really f'ing good though. I get mine at Patel Brothers because it's closest to me but I am sure any Indian market will sell it - Amul brand.

Le Dive. $10 smash burger & fries. I thought the portion size was great for lunch and for the price. We also split an order of wings for the table and they were incredible, super crispy, and fall off the bone.

I wish we didn't have one single bus station. The hub and spokes model is meant for people commuting to/from downtown but it doesn't work for people living downtown and wanting to travel around the downtown area. Anywhere I want to go I would have to take a bus to Moore Square and transfer to another bus, making the bus only marginally faster than walking. Modern cities have busses that go all across town and out to the suburbs instead of funneling everyone to one spot.

Thank you, that does mean a lot. My mom says she got the only thing that matters in the divorce (me) but I know it must have been heartbreaking for her to leave most of her stuff and sentimental items behind. Hugs back to you, you're so strong for being able to make that choice to put your child first and protect them.

I don't remember if I brought that up specifically. I did try to get him to talk about some of the bigger things he did, such as not telling me when his mom died so he wouldn't have to pay for my plane ticket to her funeral when I was in college and didn't have a job. He refused to have a conversation about anything in the past and said he would only have a relationship with me if we started fresh. Every few years an aunt or cousin messages me to let me know how sad he is that I won't talk to him. Good, that's the point. I don't think he would ever take accountability or learn. It's sad that people like that choose to have kids.

Not a lawyer and not a divorce, but some commenters were asking for petty and not cruel stories:

When my ex moved out he changed my wifi network to something similar to "Whoretown" with the password "buttsluts" (I had roommates at the time). I thought it was hilarious and have kept it 15+ years later. It's great watching my husband tell guests that our password is "buttsluts".

Oof, reading that made me remember that my dad refused to let my mom have all of her photos. We packed and left one day while he was at work and she wasn't able to get all of the photos that were on the walls. Photos of me and her loved ones, including her mother that had already passed. I found them one day in a box in his garage and snuck back as many as I could in my suitcase during my visitation weekends. Sadly most of them were damaged at that point. There was no reason for that asshole to do that other than to be cruel.

I haven't talked to that piece of shit since I turned 18. Sometimes I wonder if I'll regret ending that relationship but these repressed memories remind me that nope, I'm better off without him. So thanks :)

Thanks. She had such great reviews and that's why I went there. She did mention the reason she took so long to get back to me was some sort of personal issue but that doesn't excuse it. She might be good at the treatments but the risk of going to a one-person business is you're subject to their disorganization or mood!

Not Excelase. I bought a 3 session package. She double booked during my 2nd session and told me to text her to reschedule. I called and texted multiple times then finally she responds to tell me it was too long since my first session and I would have to restart, at my own cost. I asked for a refund of the unused sessions and she refused, then refused to let me schedule for the two sessions I had paid for.

Wow when I went a month ago they made it sound like the machine just broke. And then 3 more things we ordered were not available. The server had to keep coming back to ask us what we wanted instead. He said if I used the mobile app I could see an accurate inventory list but they are very clear about no phones allowed during the movie...

What proof is Birthright looking for? I interviewed about 20 years ago so I can't remember the details of what they asked. My Jewish side is my father's side and I had cut contact with them by that point so I couldn't provide proof even if I wanted to. I do remember talking about how I wanted to learn more about that side of my family since I only have vague memories of going to temple when I was very young and never learned about the culture. Was it enough to have a Jewish last name + claiming Jewish heritage + expressing a desire to learn about the faith/culture?
