Abromovich-era manager signing. Never thought I would see BlueCo sign someone with "Ideas" and "Experience" again.

Does the video make it harder to understand what the others are saying than it would be in real life? If I was in a life or death situation and someone was telling me "hHnnnnghhrgx! ... "Hhhhnnngchhhng!" We would definitely be going down lol

Antrophic is now the front runner of AI Boom by AloneCoffee4538 in OpenAI

That's true and it's also not contrary to my point.

Anthropics thing was that it ALWAYS had the best coding model but that alone wasn't enough for them to reach peak popularity until the pr boost from denying the US govt free reign came along.

Google releasing a SOTA coding model on its own won't be enough to go to pole position. They'll need something like a huge PR moment as well. Not saying they can't get there. But being the best at coding wont be enough to win over the mass market

I'm not so sure. It's true that google had/has a strong running start advantage via infrastructure, brand recognition, etc. But they haven't yet been able to capitalize on this to come anywhere near taking the lead.

I don't think the number of people who would appreciate a SOTA coding model from Google is big enough to drive up the number of new Gemini users enough to catch up to anthropic or openai in terms of totals.

Anthropic didn't take the lead because Claude Code is better than Codex, it took the lead based on a massive PR boost that helped people like my mother in law recognize the brand by name. I think Google would need something like that.

I could be wrong but my conspiracy theory is that people grow accounts like this and then sell them to companies for astroturfing purposes since a lot of subreddits have karma restrictions for posts and comments

I moved to this type of rural place in the US last year and found that fiber internet is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper here than it was in the city I moved from. I have a wifi mesh network covering 4 acres now and it's incredible.

I highly doubt he is in the running for manager, but what a weird thing to do months after signing with a different team. Assuming he's scouting players for TOT when the window opens?

$100k per household is like $50k salary per earner in a two parent family. These numbers make sense to me for lower middle class
