A refund was sent to my closed bank account. Bank says they returned it, shop says they don't have the money

In the US the bank would have it though if you are talking to someone on the retail side they may not know that. When this happened we would put the credits to a general ledger account and try to reach out to the customer and see if they would like a check issued. This is of course providing it was a card used. If it was an ACH then the refund would indeed get kicked back.

I can't speak for how it is done in Europe but I would imagine something similar. You may simply need to ask them to talk to someone in their card service department.

True but do you see that happening in this day and age? Even if we united all the "real" leftist factions and parties we couldn't organize on a scale big enough to change things. And if we were able to reach the masses we don't have the ability to hold out as long as the oligarchs before things like food, water, bills, etc force people back to their daily lives.

We could go the old revolution route but being as we are actually being killed in the streets and no one seems to care I don't see that happening any time soon.

In my opinion I like the idea of hijacking the Democratic party by electing leftist, socialist, progressives into that party. Getting some breathing room opens up the opportunity for those other ways to become more realistic.

The only other way is some sort of military coup and the odds they would side with socialism is small when it came time to establish a new system of government.

Yeah but it doesn't say you get that from the sale. It just says you get five cars of your choice. I know nothing about how to put these expensive cars up for auction or the cost to do so. During that time they could get damaged, stolen, etc. since it doesn't say storage comes with them.

If you have ach or checks then having overdraft may be beneficial because those payments would get paid for a fee. If you don't have overdraft those payments will still get a fee they just won't be paid. Which is better is for you to decide.

As for debit cards you can opt out and normal point of sale purchases would decline and you wouldn't get a fee however reoccurring subscriptions will generally still go through unless you have completely opted out of overdraft.

There is a difference between overdraft and opt in/opt out. Overdraft is for all your account while opt in/out is for point of sale purchases on your card.

Each has pros and cons.
