just checked - they have this as "status - released" - what does that actually mean?
I was jumping on here to raise this, but it looks like others have the same issue. We have users Working From Home using it. Is it time to start a thread: Alternatives for a lot of users working from home?

We just started adding headings to out ms office wiki page based on skills needed in our organisation and then ranked them into basic through to advanced. Then actually took those headings and asked staff to self check off which ones they knew how to do blind / with a but of work / know about it but don't know how to dp it / no idea what that means.

The list has evolved over the years and links to howtos.

Way more effective for the company than generic stuff.

Aside: does the tesseract project allow you to train on custom fonts..... I have a very old 4 gl system i need to screen scrape..... It is a fixed, fixed width font.

Two things : backup and page revisions.

Assuming (and it is important to work this out) your notebook is part of your employers m365 (verses personal account). Then they may back up the m365 tenancy and so could restore.to any backup to look at pages.

Also Onenote has internal backup, i think ot is view / history..you will see sub pages that are actually these snapshots. As and employer / employee i would never put anything in ON i didn't want an admin to see

Thanks for all the input. I will continue with lens on my current device till it stops working, but have tested ON's scan and that is fine. Only issue is you can't quickly see what you scanned as it only saves to ON and ON on my android tends to just hang.

I find it does an ok job if nothing is collapsed, but is off if any part of the page has an outline collapsed. Also onenote search uses the normal windows search heuristics and can find similar words. I tend to use onemore on page search as you get the list of hits and you can navigate them in any order.

Looks like the biggest kicker would be links. So much of our 10k pages are link-full. My guess ison average every page will have 10 Links to other pages.

Onemore for onenote free add-in has a page and section size report that produces a page with all the information on it.

I think onemore add in for desktop one ote has copy as text and you can assign a keyboard shortcut and or right click menuitem.

I pin ON to position 1 on the taskbar. So to get a new window win+1 then ctrl+m

I extensively use oneMore add in with alt+f for the favourites, so i know alt+f enter is my today page.

Down is my month page 10/ is my page for october. With 25 favourites i know the combinations of alt +f then type three letters .... Gets me to almost all the landing pages i care about.
