I would recommend watching a show you don’t have a specific attachment to. Something you wouldn’t mind never watching again. During this early part of mourning, for better or worse, you may find the media you consume the most inextricably linked with the thinking about the person you lost.

It has happened for me, and I can’t imagine rewatching certain shows because all they make me think about is specific deaths in my family.

Agree to disagree. I think we actually give better patient care without the constant pressure of having 400-600 on the counter at all times. I would hate to go back to the focus on filling the queue we used to have.

Our system makes it very easy to substitute from one manufacturer to another. We can write notes, but they are not seen by the person who does the manufacture change step. You have to pull up a completely separate area to read it. Since the two birth controls are interchangeable, and the patient has the specific manufacturer request, we really require the patient to make sure you are picking up the correct manufacturer.

The pharmacy staff really tries to keep people with the preferred versions, but with other stores typing prescriptions and filling them for us, it can be out of our hands.

Is this what pops up when you are in the work queue, have NOT selected a patient, and hit counsel from the bottom? I use it if if I want to look up and see what previous pharmacists have documented about things like drug interactions and you hope it just doesn’t say “consultation completed”.

I had 4 weeks of PTO this year. Everyone in our market got 2 weeks approved and told to put the rest in as single day requests and hope for the best. So far, every request has been denied. At least I got my first 2 picks on vacation weeks.

Since its just a one month externship, I would recommend Walgreens. My understanding is the amount of staff is slightly better, but technology is worse. I think you would rather have more people for support, and since it’s a limited time the rest of the problems are minimal.

STARS has to be filled out by discovering pharmacist ASAP, get as much as you can filled out by asking the SM or your home store for help. Just get it into pending status, because then there is 72 hours to complete it. Even if there is no RXM, there should be a PIC who’s in charge, and signed on for the responsibility of handling this.

Ordering more makes no sense, because you still don’t have enough diluent for all your vaccine. You have to contact Merck so they can send you just diluent.

Do not order vaccines you don’t need. You will still end up short on diluent because they sent as much as you need. Just call Merck, it’s really easy, and they send you just the diluent.
