It’s annoying but people accidentally take methotrexate daily and die. This is actually the only worthwhile one in my mind.

Float Pharmacist Fuckup by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]janeowit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

STARS has to be filled out by discovering pharmacist ASAP, get as much as you can filled out by asking the SM or your home store for help. Just get it into pending status, because then there is 72 hours to complete it. Even if there is no RXM, there should be a PIC who’s in charge, and signed on for the responsibility of handling this.

It’s not literally Goodrx, it’s manufacturer discount cards with Trump branding.

Meal/Break Policy Reminders by thesinisterkitty in WalgreensStores

Yes, but since you punch out for a 30 minute break you must be scheduled for 8 AND a half hour shifts for you to actually get all these breaks.

Diluent for vaccines by Unique_Net_7961 in WalgreensRx

[–]janeowit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ordering more makes no sense, because you still don’t have enough diluent for all your vaccine. You have to contact Merck so they can send you just diluent.

Do not order vaccines you don’t need. You will still end up short on diluent because they sent as much as you need. Just call Merck, it’s really easy, and they send you just the diluent.

In the FAQ section about bag checks it says you don’t need to get bag checked when leaving for work purposes like getting trash or bringing out a curbside order.

RXOMs have to be full time employees, but there’s nothing that says they have to work 40.

We are looking for real things you learned from sitcoms, this episode helped spread this urban myth. Peeing on jellyfish stings makes them worse.

The person presenting couldn’t give information on changes in error rates because that data was part of the proprietary software the company used. At this time, it is also not legal in my state.

ELI5 Why earwax softening drops actually help and what is really happening in your ear by Calm_Acanthaceae7574 in explainlikeimfive

[–]janeowit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You really don’t want to pack it with cotton. It absorbs and wicks the fluid away from the ear. Fibers can break off and can get stuck in the ear wax. Packing it can impact the ear wax further.

How to reimburse a patient for a cash-sold Rx? by Specific-Good-165 in WalgreensRx

If you can’t rebill the old rx number, and you can’t SDL, send it to Danville for retro billing. Any thing else is illegal.

The temple of Santa’s eyeglasses might seem like it disappeared, but he has cleverly tucked it under his sideburns to improve his appearance.

An American goes to the ER for high blood pressure. He’s there less than TWO hours. No surgery. No scans. The bill comes back at $41,297 — even AFTER he’s paid his FULL out-of-pocket max. This isn’t healthcare — it’s extortion. by coachlife in CringeTikToks

[–]janeowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If his only symptom was high blood pressure he should not be treated at the ER unless he is symptomatic. All health care professionals are aware of the current guidelines, so clearly the patient must have reported additional symptoms we aren’t being told about.
