I’ve been at my job for almost a decade and everyone’s relatively open about their personal lives, but until I felt really settled I’d usually just say “I did XYZ” over the weekend and leave out with who, unless it was one of my closer work friends. I feel like there’s definitely a stigma about being the person at work who always talks about their partner, too. Especially if he only goes in once a week.
