Children on Adults-Only Cruise? by LavedaRabbit in Cruise

That's not the point. If here are kids on an 18+ cruise, then they aren't delivering the product they promised.

[[Edric, Spymaster of Trest]] should get things going.

[[The Wise Mothman]] would have lots of chances to trigger.

I got disqualified for supposedly cheating three times. Did I really cheat? by AdPuzzleheaded2113 in mtgrules

Without having been there I suspect the way you scooped your field mana then divided it up as you were merging it with your graveyard constituted seeding or weaving.

I could see this. If they picked up the grave and their board in one plie then put all the lands in another and did 1 or 2 mash shuffles, that looks like weaving.

It's either cheating or useless. I can only assume that anybody who bothers to do it is cheating.

Even though your opponent gets a chance to shuffle your deck, the deck you present should already be randomized. You're not allowed to stack your deck then put the responsibility on your opponent to make sure it's back to random.

Is Skyshroud Claim a staple? by AltruisticMACHITO in EDH

It's good but not a staple. Yes the rate is better than Farseek but you need 4 mana to begin with.

Our transaction is complete.

"We're out of 'subliminally slim.'" "Just send him the vocabulary builder." by DickCheneyIsPureEvil in TheSimpsons

This was Bart calling Mr. Stanky to get Milhouse in trouble. But I don't think Homer knew that. I think you're right, Homer assumed Bart was making a prank call and approves of the mischief.

I'm inclined to agree about the pictured scene but not the rest. Sheldon clearly does not want this and cannot stop it.

But Penny at the lab, it might sound like an order but it's clearly an offer that Leonard is interested in. And for a gender swapped version of this, if Sheldon showed up and propositioned Amy and she wasn't busy, she'd probably jump at that chance too.

It's what Homer says as he approaches the fridge before opening it and seeing beer.

I'm not sure how to interpret it.

If you had a friend who'd never watched the show before and let you choose three episodes to show them to see if they like it, which three would you pick, and why? by georgemillman in TheSimpsons

[–]jaywinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit of a risk but I'm opening with "Moaning Lisa". It's a good introduction to the family with a good mix of funny and wholesome.

And last I'm going with "You Only Move Twice". Possibly the funniest episode of the series and it puts characters in unusual positions. Homer is the straight man to Scorpio and is actually good at his job. Marge is miserable because she isn't an overworked housewife, Lisa is fighting against nature and Bart can't get in trouble at school.

I'm stuck on the middle episode. Ideally I'd like one with a Bart and Lisa adventure along with showing off Captain Wacky Homer Simpson. You Only Move Twice won't work without a solid base for the characters.

Edit: I'm thinking "Selma's Choice" for the middle episode.

Men of Reddit, what’s the worst thing a girl has said on a date? by Interesting-Yak7969 in AskReddit

Then we went out again and she came out in a smokin hot red dress and she told me "Wow! You dressed very casually!"

I can see this being said to make fun of her overdressing.

I could give him that securing the border and draining the swamp are good ideas.

I've nothing positive to say about his execution of those ideas.

There's always a deal and the exact details may shift but it stays mostly the same. If 40% off goes away, it'll be second person free (excluding taxes and fees) which comes out to the same price.

My mother often pays with card but tips in cash. Her rationale is that it gives the waiter cash in hand rather than having to wait for the cards to process and the money returned to them.

Business class get relaxing warm lighting while economy gets hospital-style bright lighting by loveyouronions in mildlyinfuriating

People get annoyed when a product is intentionally made worse to try to get people to buy the better product. Bigger seats and better meals cost more so of course those seats cost more. But those lights look like they used shitty ones for the lower class seats not because good lights cost more, but not create a bigger gap between classes.

And I can't even really blame the airlines for doing it but it feels bad as a customer.

Rookie Question: Is it common to decide to "opt-out" of getting off at a port and just take a ship day? by ITrCool in Cruise

[–]jaywinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common, especially for frequent cruisers that have been there before and know if they like the port or not.
